m16a1 will be used on mars
>>64379904I love the idea of Menusars, but they've got to be clapped the fuck out by now.
>>64379904Brutally mogged by an 11.5 PSA AR
pic unrelated of course as there are exactly zero m16a1s pictured
>>64379915Based 11.5 PSA AR poster.
>>64379917OP is being a silly. Those are indeed M16A1s. Israel cut them down and retapped the barrels.
>>64379917those are all m16a1s
>>64379904>Circumcised rifles What did Israel mean by this?

>>64379923>>64379930>>64379949>shortened barrels and gas systems>carbine handguards>carbine buffers and stocksGiven the A1 style receivers with the old teardrop forward assist and no brass deflector, they probably DID start out as M16A1s, but I feel it changes things when you rebuild the rifle. Here's an M16K by Tim LaFrance, he figured out a way to rebuild M16s and M16A1s into very short carbines with a modified gas system which made them work reliably (along with a new front sight added to the front of the carry handle). You couldn't just call them M16s or M16A1s either.I'm assuming that whatever army or organization owns and uses those rebuilt M16A1s in OP's pic don't actually refer to them as just M16A1s, and that they either have a specific type designation for them, or they get referred to as "M16 Carbines" or something like that.
I should also say, there were CAR-15s / Colt Commandos which were built with that same kind of receiver, but best I recall those would always have shorter barrel lengths than the carbines in OP's image.
>>64380378No, they started lives as M16A1s, when Israel got them they modified them. Look up Menusar rifles.
>>64380487That's what my post is getting at, that they probably aren't CAR-15s either, thus increasingly suggesting that they were made by rebuilding M16A1s.
