So, fellows, it's been two week since last thread and I finally got to mixin' up the stuff. I ain't found my big bag of charcoal yet, so gonna be usin' sugar in it's place, both are fuel. Gotta grind those sulfur pellets, mix in the salrpeter and then sugar last.

>lil nigga of siberia doesn't know he can make charcoal with a simple trick

Not a great idea. It'll kind-of work, but not really. Even then you'll need to adjust the ratios of fuel to oxidizer since monosaccharide carbohydrates aren't a direct 1:1 replacement for charcoal, which is basically pure elemental carbon.
The quality of the charcoal (as well as compression after mixing, before corning) is really what makes the difference between mediocre gunpowder, and really good gunpowder.

I guess it'll kind of work for crappy low-grade fireworks, but you'll want better gunpowder if you actually want to use it in a firearm.

Also, something, something, you need to be at least 18 years old to post on this site. Don't blow your fingers off or blind yourself, kid.

>I ain't found my big bag of charcoal yet
Factory made charcoal for gills and such isn't good enough for making gunpowder. You'll need to make your own. It's not hard.
>>
>>64384408
There's good tutorials out there on how to make your own charcoal for gunpowder, you'll need to pyrolyze it.

He's clearly Belorussian. Call him nigga of Bobruisk at least.

The powder doesn't explode, it's over

that german autistic retard with the meme manifesto tried using sugar as a propellant
that's why he's collectively known as a retard

Why not just use a ball mill?
You can get your chemicals from a pyro supply site exactly how you need them or if you want to make your own charcoal it's pretty easy to buy a bag of cedar pet bedding (cedar burns faster than pine) and convert it to charcoal.

Conifers in general make shit powder, especially the aromatic ones.

I don't have the time to start a fire, I have 8 hours of this day and then back to work

Also, I don't have a ball mill

you could be interested in this my belorussian friend
my post on priming mixture
if you're gonna build a percussion pistol you're gonna need primers and they're regulated
>>
>>64384408
also if you're talking about the big bag of charcoal briquettes don't use that, it's retarded and won't work.

you can use sugar as a fuel source in rcandy propellents, it would be retarded to use it in firearms though. I'm not aware of the story, is that what happened?

halle synagogue shooting
the guy had some serious skill, he made two lutys, one full metal other one hybrid 3d printed
his issue was using rocket fucking candy, he had fucking factory primers and he failed so badly
>>
>>64384626
yes they do which is why they're used in spark/effects formulas as opposed to ones used for lifting/breaking rockets and shells.
>>64384633
$70 dollars at harbor freight will get you dual drum rock tumbler you can optimize for milling by sliding some 1/2" tubing over the roller to increase the speed.
>>
>>64384671
also use lead media or even better antimony/tin hardened lead media. If you use stainless steel to mill black powder you risk an explosion. If you use marbles the glass will grind off into the powder and sensitize it, leading to increased risk of explosion. Don't be a retard.

dude tried shooting up a synagogue and got stopped by wooden doors.

>>64384717
those pesky wooden doors, can stop just about anything if history remembers correctly

I used medicinal charcoal I found, and it worked.
>>

"Worked"
That is match tier powder, but if it doesn't kinda 'poof' and it's easy to ignite then isn't a good powder.
Good enough to fill a closed container and cause an "over-pressure rupture" but it's useless for anything else.

Made my own rocket engines in the late 80's. Ground/mixed the gunpowder with a rock tumbler with a brass bolt in it.
Particle size defines the burn speed.
Rock tumbler powered on end of long extension cord in a tent in the back yard. Sometimes they blew up and sometimes they flew far. Good times! These days people will call SWAT on you or call you a terrorist. No idea how possible it is do it these days.

This is an old video and I've made faster powder since then but you want it to look more like this, anon.

Btw a better way to measure burn speed of your powder is to cut a thin channel into a piece of wood and pour a line of powder into it instead of a heaping pile. You can also launch a baseball out of a mortar with it, naturally the powder with the longest hang time is better.

At the place I used to live I had a fire pit in my backyard. I ran an extension cord out to it with it switched on and would turn it on by plugging it in at the other end where the outlet is. I barricaded the enclosure with sandbags to contain the media if for some strange remote reason it decided to explode.
>>
>>64384441
some jewtuber claimed you could make good charcoal out of toilet paper
>>
>>64385727
>>64385755
If you use an external brush and an earth line to ground your tumbler drum you'll have a lot fewer explosions. Just saying

Anyone got the obituary of past /k/ommandos? Remember the mustard gas lad?
