>>64384443A Dodge Ram, a boat, a husky/pitt bull/German Shepard solely to mention around everyone else, and an engagement ring you have to take a loan out for.
How open is the Coast Guards towards prior service? Do they have limited slots like for the Air Force? I have Army fatigue despite it being years since I left.
Do we really need two of these threads up at once?
>>64384623I've never heard of them having limited slots for prior service, but I have heard of not being able to transfer over with your full rank unless your chosen rate is very similar to your old MOS. I know a guy who was thinking about doing it but backed out when they told him he would have to come in as an E-4 instead of an E-6 to get the rate he wanted.
Is the French Foreign Legion and the 2 REP as bad as people say? Like unprofessional, no free time, lack of deployments, low morale, beatings, etc etc etc
>>64384623Why not just comission You have all the educational benefits, veteran preference. So much going for you. No reason to go enlisted.
>>64384824Old thread is at bump limit, new thread gets created to ensure discussion continues. Why does this upset you?
What are some songs that remind troops of the good times in their life?
>>64385164What is your nationality?
>>64385274Old thread isn't at bump limit, spammer.
Will the Army believe me if I lie about my old self harm scars? I've only tried to kill myself twice, and I've never gone to the hospital or seen a doctor over it.
>>64385413depends how obvious they are. you can try claiming you scraped your arms up climbing a fence or some shit, they might buy it.that aside, if you've tried to an hero twice, the military is most likely not for you.
>>64385413Whats the fattest chick you've gotten upset over?
>>64385425It's the Army or going back to selling white girl at this point.

>>64385284I have two passportsLithuanian and Brazilian
I'm glad I didn't join if for no other reason than getting medically discharged over celiac disease would have been fake, gay, AND retarded.
>>64385485>joining the FFL when you have EU citizenship
>>64385500Yeah I know, every legionnaire I researched say to join their national armies
>>64384422fatties not welcome
>>64385503So why are you not taking their advice seriously?
>>64385509I am just checking my options
>>64385512Well we've crossed that option out. Now it's time to discuss joining the Lithuanian military
Reminder to use your GTCC to feed yourself.
>>64385515I will do my compulsory military service first. I am trying to think a way to get a degree in Europe so I can apply to the junior officer trainingI did my highschool outside Lithuania instead of the matura exam, so I can't join the universities like all the others lithuanians. I need a recommendation letter or something similar
>>64385542What subject are you thinking of studying? Also, where did you attend your upper secondary education?
>>64385553>upper secondary education?Brazil.I was approved to some prestigious universities here but I dropped out during covid.I was thinking about anything on STEM or business
>>64385557Join a seminary
>>64385557>>64385553Btw where are you from?
>>64385568What?
>>64385557So obviously you could attend higher education in Brazil, but if your goal is to commission, then that foreign degree could present additional challenges as you process your application to their officer training. Best bet is to figure out how to get into a Lithuanian university. I can tell you that I applied to the university in Kaunas back in 2019 and they happily accepted my American secondary education. In your case, I suspect you will have to have your transcripts and any other requested academic documents translated into Lithuanian or English.
>>64385582A seminary
>>64385593>I can tell you that I applied to the university in Kaunas back in 2019 and they happily accepted my American secondary educationThat's actually great to hear. Did you needed a recommendation letter?
>>64385610In my case, I went as far as them asking for a deposit, but I ended up choosing another university so I did not go through all steps to enter that university. However, I do not recall any recommendation letter being requested, and I certainly didn't have one with my application.
>>64385620OkThanks for the help so far
>>64385622I truly wish I had more to provide, but best of luck to you! If you were only Brazilian, the FFL would have been a possible option, but for you there would be no benefit and a lot of bullshit. You have opportunities that most don't, so take advantage of those opportunities. Also, if Russia gets any ideas about trying to take freedom from the Baltics again, it'll be better to have you defending your country rather than stuck in a stinky French barracks twiddling your thumbs
Texasanon is Lithuanian? Interesting.
army recruit here, when I get asked about my dream list I have no idea where I want to go. What bases are decent for new enlisted?preferably not jail cell style barracks?
>>64386029What MOS?
>>64386029you don't have any choice whatsoever they don't do that anymore and haven't for a long time
Once again asking for information and advice>What specifically do Rangers do that Green Berets dontIs it solely airfield seizure missions?>How much more often do Rangers see combat compared to SF>How frequently is that combat Direct Action style raids / assaults for SFI have been told Rangers can expect cycles of deployment of 2-3 months deployed to 4-6 months of recovery/training and that almost all time deployed would be spent in or near combat even in "peace time" such as now (ignoring goings on in Mexico Venezuela Canada and Greenland etc)I have also been told Green Berets rarely (if ever) see peacetime combat and even during GWOT (and previous conflicts) they saw a fraction of the combat that other groups saw (if they were even "lucky" enough to be part of the groups operating in that theater)Any information would be appreciated as finalizing my aspirations requires making very difficult decisions
>>64386209What's MOS?
>>64386348What's what?
>>64386348Are you American? If not you probably won't find any useful advice here.

>>64386558The general rule for 35 series is that your options are INSCOM, FORSCOM, or SOCOM. If you want INSCOM, put Meade, Georgia, Texas, and Hawaii on your list. Most of FORSCOM locations will be similar to each other, with variations only for the type of unit (ABCT vs SBCT vs IBCT and the corresponding deployment cycles). It's hard to guarantee SOCOM based on duty station choice alone, and if you don't have airborne already you probably won't get it, but if you do happen to go to a post that has a SOCOM unit you might go to them anyway, based on manning. Barracks wise, most duty stations are similar these days, with the amount of truly horrific barracks buildings shrinking slowly over time. Most will have 2 bedrooms joined by a common area with a common bathroom. Some of the newer ones are meant to directly emulate college dorms or apartments, though you'd have to go to (iirc) Hood or Irwin for those. I'd say throw Japan or Germany or Italy on your list just because. You might not have strong feelings about any of those places but if you do get to go you'll have a good time, regardless of the quality of the barracks, just because of the locations themselves.
