Thoughts about deploying line charges via quadcopter drones for mine clearing?
Sure, whatever. Line charges are generally laid by rocket, so a drone might be more discrete and be able to put the charge around obstacles.
Would a drone with a longer spool of line charge be able to clear an entire trenchline?
Implessive

>>64386875why not? though a UGV would probably make more sense, I've already seen UGVs fitted with mine clearing gear and I know they've been tested in the field, it's a natural next step to fit line charges to them

>>64386875primitive propaganda to fit the muh drones turdworlder narrativeproper line clearing charge weighs over 5kg/m and a drone won't carry any significant length
>>64386875Dont think drones have capacity to drop real line charges.Drones can use compleatly different approach. Map minefield with sub-meter precision and then drop charges with sub-meter precision right on top of each mine.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqFGwU3W69k
>>64386875Sure. Bigger drone for a bigger charge. The ones shown should be for anti personel minefields and deployed in large numbers, I think. Should work asuming all the soldiers will be given one.

Both Ukraine and Russia use FPV drones that carry fiber optics spools that enable them to strike targets from 40-50km away without being affected by EW nor jamming, and those are quite heavy: https://insidefpv.com/blogs/blogs/10-inch-vs-7-inch-vs-15-inch-kamikaze-drone
