On the plus side, that 1:1.3 Kia/wia ratio means that the total casualty impact isn’t quite as huge as we might expect based on the number of corpses

question; does anybody know if they still do drone drops into hatches vehicles? I always enjoyed watching a drone trick shot a grenade or whatever into an abandoned (or not) tank hatch but outside of the first year these videos seemed to have stopped being posted... at least on /k/.
>>
>>64393000
with most vehicles having cope sheds mounted on them it's increasingly more difficult, but also FPVs are just way more popular right now as making them wire-guided is much easier than for a drone you plan to recover (half as much fiber optic cable needed for a strike, for one) and they can carry larger payloads.
>>
>>64393000
Is that even possible with all the crap in the way?
I've seen a few videos recently where they maneuver drones into gaps in abandoned tanks' cubik cages. The hatches are often left open under the cage, but turns out a random box of metal fencing, slats, bed frames and whatever is pretty good at blocking signals, so it's kind of hard to tell how often they manage to slip down the hatch before the drone bumps into something and detonates.

in russian mind that would still be a victory tho
the newest agitprop is that russia has 6 million reserves (idk what they would arm them with but they say so lol)
remember they lost 27 million in ww2 compare that to american deaths from france, italy and whole pacific campaign
you could literally take all american casualities in 20th and 21st century and it still be less than 27 mil

They didn't. The most ravaged parts of the Soviet Union was Belarus, followed by Ukraine. Russia did take a lot of damage and lose many lives, but absolutely nowhere near that amount.

Either that or after 10 years of an USSR vs Afghanistan like quagmire, which ironically would make Putin, who bemoans the fall of the SU so much, the next dictator to cause the fall of a Russian state into poverty, disarray, power loss and outright warlord/mafia chaos just like in the 90s.

>remember they lost 27 million in ww2
They didn't. Not officially. Stalin himself said in 1946 that they only lost 7,000,000. He uses it to show how much better USSR was in fighting Hitler compared to the west. So not only was USSR much more committed to defeating Hitler and fascism but the actual number had to be hidden. The 27 million number is not official but Russian post-war historian estimates.
>>
>>64393089
Russia did lose 14mil~ though 6.5military deaths 7.5 civilian deaths.
That ranks it 6th among the USSR republics for casualties as a % of population.
Having said that Russia's population in 1940 was 110mil vs today being around 140mil. So Russia would need around 18mil deaths to get to their WW2 total as a percent of population. looking at it just in terms of war deaths it'd need to be around 8mil of course since Russia isn't getting lend-leased to any significant amount they need to get all the raw materials and food themselves and manufacture it into something useable. Which uses up a lot of man power.

>>
>>64393061
>remember they lost 27 million in ww2
USSR lost even more, the 27 million is just the currently acceptable to publish number, there's a reason why they still keep the archives classified and extend that term ever few years. Some estimates say that the total number is probably higher than 40 million overall. Since the USSR demographics were fundamentally fucked by WW2.
>>
>>64394063
It's always cunts sitting in nice warm offices far from the frontline who talk like this. With children in the West and good salaries to afford bribes if not.

We knew AFR sent "fresh" and "elite" brigades around Pokrovsk axis for further offensive actions.

Is this what is it about ? It doesn't look like basic assault barns or orkish mess crawler ...

I noticed new armored assault in this axis for few days now. The kind who did not occured for month ... Considering the result, I think motorbike and infantery infiltration is still more efficient but it unables any significanr breakthrough.

All American casualties since the creation of the country combined are nowhere CLOSE to Russian WW2 casualties, even if you lowball them. I'd be surprised if aforementioned American casualties were above 3 million total.

Hell, Russian casualties in the fucking Ukraine war have likely already exceeded American casualties in WW2. Hilariously enough, Russia loses as many men every month or so as America had lost during the entirety of both war and occupation in Afghanistan and Iraq combined, kek.
>>
>>64403625
all US deaths is about 1.2 million
so russia is probably about halfway there in it's invasion
>>
>>64403337
Im pretty sure he would crash way before running out of rounds, given that all of the pilot's blood would be busy powering his massive erection
>>
>>64400424
Early on I had thought that 2025 would be when we would see a degradation in the quality of russian forces that was too significant to hide, and that they would struggle to actually arm and outfit at least armoured units, and because of this I had thought that would signal monke to sue for peace
What I hadn't expected was russias suicidal desire to continue the war as if Ukraine is an existential threat to them, at this point running out of steel doesn't seem to faze them, and it's honestly looking like this retarded war will continue until russia is literally incapable of holding their meagre gains due to either open revolt of their armed forces, decapitation of their leadership, or if their forces are degraded so much that they can't even stop the completely worn out Ukranians from penetrating their defences
>>
>>64392810
Well, you see anon, those weren't REAL Russians who died. They were just Buryats and Central Asians (but not our beloved Chechnyans, I would never imply Chechens are anything but gods!) so it's fine to trade their lives for the lives of Europeans. So long as no one from Moscow or St. Petersburg is even mildly inconvenienced, it's not a real casualty at all! Hope this helped you understand the Russian mindset a little better!
>>
>>64397587
Because he's a huge fan of self-admitted fascist writers from Russia that ramble about cosmic rays imbuing the Russian people with heroic energy. I'm not joking. Look up Lev Gumilev. He's one of Putin's favorite authors that he repeatedly quotes.

>Look up Lev Gumile

>>
>>64404208
Gumilev genuinely believed that because Anglos got on boats and colonized places, they had abandoned their connection to the earth and were a less-energetic and powerful race than Russians, who had only ever been peasants tilling soil. The guy smoked a lot of crack.
>>
>>64404225
Hey that's literally a central plot point from Pathological 2, a Russian video-game.

All countries had their shares of schizo writers, how they influence policy so consistently in Russia remains a mystery.
>>
>>64404247
The furthest Western schizos got in the 20th century was Realist thought taking over the White House until Reagan. Meanwhile Putin is naming the Russia-specific equivalent of Hyperborea shitposters as his favorite authors and making them required reading in Russian high schools.
>>
>>64404247
For most of its history, Russia has been ruled by at most a few strongmen at a time, who have gotten there by successfully eliminating all their rivals---and any process that could remove them when they go nuts.
Even many absolute monarchs elsewhere at least tried to pretend they gave a shit. Russia's tradition has mostly been to send thugs to arrest, torture and/or kill anyone even slightly questioning the regime's conduct.

All sorts of retarded ideas can fester in a mind that's placed itself this far above the currents of feedback.
>>
>>64404179
>continue the war as if Ukraine is an existential threat to them
In a sense, it is. So much of russian identity has been based around their superiority to their neighbours, specifically to their 'little brother', Ukraine. Think something similar to the Russo-japanese war, which almost caused a full blown revolution.
>>
>>64404264
Western schizos usually dream of unbeatable threats, like ALIENS, mighty Ussr coming for you or whatever Tom Clancy was smoking. The chil westeen schizos invent languages and write cool fanfiction about, while they sit in a trench and the guts of private nonce fly past their face.
>>
>>64404119
>Hell, Russian casualties in the fucking Ukraine war have likely already exceeded American casualties in WW2.
Well yeah, US casualties in WW2 were barely above 1 million.
>>
>>64404208
>Nostalgia for their homeland and the trauma of the Bolshevik revolution had led them to reject the idea that Russia could ever be western and bourgeois. Instead, they wrote, it owed its heritage more to the fierce nomads and steppe tribes of Eurasia. The Enlightenment, in the form of advanced European social theories, had brought Russia to genocide and ruin, while there was a harmony in the wildness of the Huns, the Turks, the Mongols. The steppe lands and forests of the inner continent had traditionally been prone to rule by a single conquering imperial banner. The Russians, they — and now Gumilev — wrote, were the latest incarnation of this timeless continental unity.

I wanted to Morgenthau Plan monkestan after the war and reduce the zigger population to a more manageable few million that harsh pastoral steppe existence could support... But now turns out that's what they crave all along?!

These fuckers take the fun out of everything. Bunch of irredeemable masochists.

France and Germany seem particularly fertile in crackpots for some reason.
