When does excessive bodybuilding / steroid usage start to limit the warfighting effectiveness of military personnel? Where's the point of diminishing returns?

>>64393455What about excessive norwooding?
Just go natty
>>64393452When it starts to effect their run time or any aerobic activities. You can do both running and cardio, but being big and Buff always come at the cost of cardio or any flexible movements. Most troops are either skinny fats or lean as far as muscles goes. Anything more than that always results in them sacrificing their ability to run long or pull themselves up on a bar to look big.
>>64393452There is no point of diminishing returns. Chemical enhancement has given you every boxing champion in modern history. Since at least ww2. Every MMA champion. Every Olympic athlete. Every college champion. Every baseball football, sport champion. Every Mr Olympia. Every world's strongest man Every crossfit champion. Every top level athlete everywhere in everything is enhanced. Period. Even the ones in "natty" competition. You can not physically compete with a chemically enhanced athlete. The best natural athlete in any sport/competition doesn't even rank top 50. Those old baseball players hitting streaks and records? Meth. The military was using it they brought it to baseball. Welcome to reality. Natty doesn't cut it. It hasn't since the 30s/40s. And it never will again. >>but muh (insert athlete here) was nattyNo, he wasn't. He just didn't get caught. Who? Who? Name one? Ted Williams? Think again, meth. George st Pierre? Lol, test and hgh, blood doping. There is nobody. Not one. You are nieve.
>>64393505Shut the fuck up faggot crossfit fags are juiced the fuck up and can outrun you on their hands. Literally. And have some of the best cardio in the world. Go back.
>>64393553>You are nieve.lol
>>64393452Roid use affects recovery times and your bodies anabolic performance. What youre asking is about lean mass and its affect on aerobic performance which is a totally different question. The answer is complicated. Despite what you may think rucking is more strength related than aerobic related so more stronger means faster rucks. The downside to being a meat pillar is that your daily calorific uptakes have to be big so its not sustainable in the field. It can also lead to negative long term outcomes because the old heart be pumping harder than a meth fiend grinds for a fix.
>>64393553>natty doesn't cut it Until the army includes tren and MRE's are designed to blast your daily calort intake past 4000 and is protein intensive instead of carb intensive natty is what everyone is in the field.
>>64393585Having been in the army i can tell you being in the feild doesn't stop everyone on test and roids in the slightest. Protein is easy to get. Guys chugging Protein powder with that not milk non refrigerated garbage and water that comes out of a canvas sack that tastes like chlorine and bleach, 10 billion calorie protein bars. People get fat in the army. Guys are juiced, Guys are skinny, Guys are fat. Its not hard to get anything in the army. Anywhere. Anytime.
>>64393585If you had any idea how many people are introduced to steroids in the army it would blow your mind. Fat kids? Pin to make weight. Skinny kids. Pin to get stronger. Reg Joe? Pin to become a pt stud. The military doesn't test for juice.
>>64393609Your week-long FTX is not representative of actually being in the field. Neither is some fobbit-lore about life in FOB Geronimo is not representative of life in COP Rankel or some godforsaken hard point on the LOC in Ukraine.
>>64393619Notice how my post was not talking about garrison life?
>>64393624>>64393627Lol, obviously you were not in the military. Perhaps a butter. There is literally nothing you cannot get, or bring home in the military. If you were in and think everyone wasn't doing shit its because you were a fucking rat. Don't think you were a rat? Every have an article 15? No? Fucking rat. Nobody trusted you. Guys were in the field doing hard drugs all around you. You think steroids and protein are hard to get? Fucking kek. Stop with your larp. Its stupid and embarrassing. Guys get cycled out for drugs more in the rear than in the field. The first time I ever saw meth was when I walked in on an asshole chasing the dragon with a straw on tinfoil in the army. We once had to go find some fat smelly fucking retard in the field who had managed to get hard alcohol in the field. He blacked out and wandered off on some gay walkabout

>>64393452when it starts affecting your cardio and ability to fullfill your role as soldier.if you're a POG it's almost free game since you are nothing but a gym rat but anything else? if you can't run you're fucked so you need to find a good balance between lifting and cardio, the food in bases/FOB/MRE are made in ways to make you big in no time, if you don't enough PT you get fat quickly, if you do enough PT then don't bother with supplement like protein bar or powder because the shit they feed you with is already enough, on the other hand it taste bad tho.
>>64393452Sleep, eat right and there's no real point in steroids for the officer or the junior enlisted. In the military sense, they're a recovery-time booster for old combat-arms NCOs.
>>64393452>be in the military>young and dumb>run like a champ every time>people notice this>make me carry a 50 cal ammo can on runs now full of sand>cant run no good anymore bossSORRY I RAN AHEAD OF YOU CAPTAIN YOU PIECE OF SHIT.
>>64393855Powermove from Cpt.
>>64393452after 28 to 32 youll be still good but after that father time will kick you in the dick. >T. fucked up my shoulder reaching over for a pen on the desk at 33
>>64393753Found the nasty girl pog fobbit. I really like your Facebook pics of you playing cards in the sandbox. So fucking hard.
>>64393559Crossfags are famously all posers you fucking cultist, compare and contrast to a triathlete to see just how pathetic their endurance is
>>64393505When I was in, some of the guys in the scout platoon were jacked and had crazy good run times.
The limit is when your muscles have outgrown your joints, and your addiction to pain tolerance has outgrown your ability to tell when those joints are being injured. If you ever even developed the ability to differentiate what the different body pains mean. What happens to roidmaxing is the same that happens in the top level sports - one try too hard, something goes snap (which could be a bone straight up fully breaking), it's never the same again.
>>64393585I'm actually disturbed over how little protein there is in military food
Natty is what God wants for us.
>>64393505I was pretty big in the army, not a bodybuilder or roid monster, just larger muscle mass. While I won't say I was a super athlete or anything, but I always made my qualification>Carrying nothing, run 20k's>Carrying 100lb of shit, just run 20k's>Carrying 100ln of shit running 20km on a beachDidn't matter! I just rolled along at the same pace regardless so I didn't strain anything, blow out joints or back and would do it again the next day. Strength does matter quite a lot in infantry because you can end up carrying just so much shit its not funny, plus on top of that someone is going to fuck up so you'll end up carrying their shit too while three or four of you will end up carrying them. You've still got to make that time even if it means carrying someone else's weight. Rain, hail, shine, cold, hot or on 2 hours sleepThe big disadvantage of a lot of muscle though is that it can be hard to maintain on deployment. You sometimes don't get a lot to eat and end up dropping weight which can make things a bit 'fucky' from a physiological level if you're not used to it.
>>64393452Point of too much is where you screw up a) logistics or b) health. High doses are honestly completely fine as long as your estrogen is kept in check. But you can overdo it if you're nuts and kill your liver with orals. Otherwise health isn't an issue for most people unless you blast for years and years.Logistics are an issue. You need to inject at least once a week, and carry needles and vials into the field with you. Thats retarded. Its easy enough on a quick field exercise but a multi month deployment will require multiple glass vials and dozens of needles and syringes and alcohol pads. You can honestly get it delivered to you if you're American, probably, since they have whole mail networks and shit and huge FOBS and bases. Otherwise you have to smuggle that shit. You can honestly take a few weeks or even months off and be fine and still jacked and your muscle will stay even without injecting test for a few months. So you can blast while conus and then just say fuck it while you deploy. Its easier if you use HCG to keep your balls functioning while you can, so if you suddenly stop you'll have at least a little something. All in all basically 0 reason not to juice.

>>64393505cardio is a skill and the trick is do very low intensities but very long sessions that won't eat through your muscles because use fat for fuel rather than sugar
>>64394736Once you hit a certain threshold cardio is almost purely psychological. If you can run three miles at a consistent pace, you can probably run six at that same pace or slightly slower if you just try.
>>64394736"Cardio" is a broad category that includes several modalities which don't neatly adapt when you train only one. If all you ever do is long slow runs, you'll miss out on a lot of adaptation for higher intensities, even if you get marginally faster over a short distance just from doing any kind of cardio at all.
>>64393452>When does excessive bodybuilding / steroid usage start to limit the warfighting effectiveness of military personnel? Where's the point of diminishing returns? So long as you're still training for endurance and practical strength rather than hypertrophy, there's no point at which you start losing effectiveness.Diminishing returns set in pretty early though, the kind of personnel that actually gains from peak conditioning isn't able to retain it long in the field anyway, so it's not all that worthwhile. Not to mention most pt is already designed in such a way that soldiers develop chronic injuries, so even if you dope them for recovery you won't achieve much beyond breaking them down more.
>>64393452that ring / hand looks familiar
>>64394389>not achieving your true and full potential for the LordFAGGOT DETECTED
>>64393452You should never take steroids because it’s a crutch where your body relies on an external source of testosterone rather than what it produces naturally. Even in the civilian world guys that abuse it pay for it later. If the military didn’t treat their soldiers like disposable dogshit and gave them proper rest and recovery then there would be less incentives.
Eat Chicken.Drink Milk.Lift weights. You don't need to complicate it with steroids.
