Modetn butterfly swords are kung fu movie tier crap knives from Hong Kong where carrying long blades were banned by british police. The real ones from the 19th century were long single edged swords.Also Wing Chun bs uses it incorrectly. Historically one was a parrying blade while the other was the offensive one.
