I have some time off in the next few months and I'd like to take my FAL out to get some wild hog but my state doesn't have any. What state has the simplest regs for harvesting a hog on public land?

>>64414359>OklahomaDo check the reg specifics though, there are some wildlife management areas (WMAs) where it's prohibited year round, not to protect hogs or anything but I think due to noise and such. Hog hunting is also not allowed during deer season specifically, just to prevent interference. Rifle deer season isn't super long of course but something to be aware of.Also fwiw, if you have permission from certain private landowners (in practice that's a business now, there are tons of places that will work to team up people who want to kill nuisance hogs with farmers and such who want nuisance hogs killed) you can deal with them year round day or night, but you may have to pay or put in some more effort.

It is true you don't need the license if you shoot on private land with the owner's permission. But otherwise there is no closed season, no bag limits, no weapon restrictions.
