I loaded some 300blk, chamber tested a new-to-me style of 357 bullet, and unpacked a new fake acog I got off ebay for $100. The fiber optic delta works real nice, but the eye relief is tiny.

Nothing will ruin a range day quicker than a floppy extractor in a MP5. If its a "serious" gun consider saving up for Moore MAD MAX or RCM MP5-E bolt head to eliminate the Achilles heel of the platform.

I had one or two malfunctions earlier out of about 150 rds and I think it was with one of the crap mags that came with the gun. The german mag is more reliably but the damn thing requires quite a bit of force to pull out of the receiver. I got an extra german extractor spring at home, do they really break that often?
Bought a newly released 3D scanner to help design holsters, but I'm probably going to buy holster molds and scan those instead of actual guns. I'm debating if I really want to put the G2c in my opening lineup of five handguns.

And if you are running suppressed the odds of a malfunction go up since the guns get stupid filthy after just a few mags.

>>64419008I don't have any knowledge about them and usage in MP5s but HK roller locks are naturally dirtier guns due to using hot gases to float the cartridge casings for easier extraction. Add on that flow through cans are louder than conventional suppressors and the only real benefit I could see would be slightly less wear and tear on the gun over using a normal suppressor. A MP5k would probably benefit much more with a flow through can than the fullsize MP5 in that regard.

My current carry is a Hitachi HDD/DVD camcorder, I'd use my nicer Canon MiniDV camcorder but the thing I had with a firewire port and composite cables got fried or something so I can't export the footage from tapes.

Then I discovered that the distance of the straps on the butt pack is about the same as the bottom straps of an ILBE hydration carrier so I cut and taped them to allow 1 inch webbing to pass through then clip it to the top of the H harness and so far it lays flat on my back, but I’m waiting on the bladder to come in to test that fully. I found an LBV88 E at a local pawn shop, and after realizing it’s not that great of gear I removed the yoke and vest and integrated it into the H harness while removing the single cell and grenade pouches. The straps of the LBV 88 are fuck huge and don’t mesh with my packs well anyways, but the yoke is excellent and I can attach a pouch to it. I maybe have 250 miles hiking with the kit on, not much but enough that I’m looking for a belt pad and will replace the clips with paracord once I find a configuration I like. 200 round SAW pouches are great, can’t have enough of them, and there isn’t anything I can’t use them for.
