should I get a glock 45 "hunter" edition with a coa aimpoint and threaded barrel?will be my first gun
a tanfoglio tactical pro was also in considerationboth my picks happened to be green but that is coincidental i promise
>>64418130>will be my first gunit's hard to know what you need or want from your first gun, what your first gun should do is cover alot of bases so as you train with it you can figure out what you really need or want. If you go to an extreme on your first gun you'd probably go to the other extreme on the next without knowing. Like if you get a huge steel frame competition gun as your first gun you likely go to the other end of the spectrum for the next wasting money. Glock 45 and the COA is a great package. Getting a dot early is good since dry fire practice with a dot is very important. threaded barrel is fine but not really useful, suppressing a pistol is a huge meme and thread on compensation for 9mm aren't THAT effective.
Those are 2 very different guns. Could you give more info?Budget, caliber, etc.I personally don't like glocks, and the tanfoglio i like is a 10mm version of a cz 75. Are you looking for something more home defense, conceal carry, or just a general purpose?
>>64418130>glock 45>its 9mm>glock 22>its .40>glock 44>its .22
>>64418130Glock is a the prototype basic striker fired pistol. Tangfoglio is the result of extra chromosome people breeding and the product of that tard fuck making a pistol.
>>64418337So the Czechs? Because it's a CZ-75b clone.
Glocks are grossly overpriced. If you want one that says "Glock" on the slide by a police trade in. If you don't care about the brand name buy one of the many cheap just as good or better clones. More than 50% of United States Practical Shooting Association competitors use CZ-75 variants because they have less muzzle rise than other pistols out of the box with no enhancements. Additionally you can mount a optic to the frame with makes it the optic easier to see because it's not moving with the slide. The overpriced COA mounting system is a marginal improvement at best over other slide mounting options. What you want what you REALLY REALLY WANT...is something you haven't put in your post. If you prefer comfort and simplicity get a plastic frame striker fired pistol with a more comfortable grip angle than the Glock; something like a Beretta APX or the Walther PDP. Additionally some Glock clones like the Lone Wolf Dusk-19 have a better grip angle. Some people will inevitably tell you grip angle does not matter; they lie. The glock grip angle is unnatural and can cause pain in the fingers, wrist, and elbow. If you prefer capability the CZ-75 and it's variants offer the least muzzle rise without enhancements. Lower muzzle rise means you get back on target quicker. The grip angle of the 75s is more comfortable than the Glock's. HOWEVER the recoil impulse will feel slightly worse. Plastic frames flex considerably under recoil making them more comfortable to shoot if they have a good grip angle.
>>64418385CZ, oh yeah. I love guns that need troubleshooting from the factory. I mean im getting paid so fuck yeah. Buy a cz.
>>64418272its for training and competition usei live in europe so its not for carrying
>>64418432i would never get a glock for competition idk about tangfolios but thats like a cz75 clone right?
>>64418130>with a coa aimpointThey're not making more COA models for the foreseeable future, so if you're interested in the COA yes you should.
>>64418385Compfags are all autistic hipsters so their opinions might as well be worthless
>>64418130Go to the range that offers rentals and rent like 3 or 4 guns before buying one.
>>64418811sounds like a good way to spend 200 dollars just to find out glock was best
>>64418713really? why? it like just came out
>>64418967they're focusing on law enforcement and military sales of the COA instead of the general public
>>64418967Military panic bought all of em cause p320s are p320s.
>>64418973oh so it's not discontinued, it'll just be hard to find for a while?
>>64418265??? suppressing a pistol is great. The added weight lowers recoil and not having a loud bang is super fun. I don't own one yet, and I've only shot a suppressed 22 but planning on picking up a suppressor for my 9mm after the tax stamp fucks off in jan
>>64419020>??? suppressing a pistol is great. The added weight lowers recoil and not having a loud bang is super fun.suppressing a pistol now means the pistol cannot act as a pistol anymore, it's too large to fit in a holster, it cannot be concealed, it's a long as a rifle now. you should not be having any trouble with recoil from a 9mm9mm suppressed isn't particularly quiet since of chamber pop, noise generated is related to the bore size so if you want quiet only .22lr is truly quiet, without a locked breech system.
>>64418385having the sights so far up the barrel is disgusting.
>>64419070It's just fun to shoot suppressed. I'd never carry a suppressed pistol. I'd keep one in my nightstand or under my desk or something but fuck carrying it unless I'm going to the range. Drawing a sidearm with a suppressor on it is a bitch too.Lower recoil is always nice, of course I don't have trouble with it. Time to acquire target is lower with lower recoil.Anyway, I haven't shot a 9mm suppressed yet so I dunno about sound, you may be right there.
The glock COA reminds me of glaucoma.
>>64418130>glock 45>9mm
>>64418130Yes.The COA is comfy and the mounting system is better. Threaded barrel is nice. Don't limpwrist it and get good.
>>64418986Yeah retailers are saying the lead time is like two years for the COA. If you find one in stock at a local gun store, then you should snap it up while you still can. If you really want the Tanfo then go for it, but it's not the most carry-friendly gun if you wanted to use it for self-defense.
>>64418941be real here glocks dont fit all people glock is not a one fits all solution i like shooting g17 but not greatest handgun ever
>>64418130I wish I got a Glock COA the mounting system looks 100x better than wondering if my CZ SCS is going to fly off because I used the wrong size of tiny replacement screws.
