>>64420335Shooting something moving at relatively constant speeds traveling on a predictable arc is quite different from trying to shoot a highly maneuverable, unpredictable drone. Not to mention that most Americans dont have any practical skill in trap/sport shooting. 100 years ago it was much different, no vidya, no animes, no internet, so in many cases sport shooting was one of the funnest pastimes of the era. Not to mention fewer Americans were city slickers. I highly doubt this would happen with bolt rifles, and if it did it was truly a fluke.

>>64420335Wouldnt flechete being pointier and so aerodinamic add range and so be the First round in anti drone shootgun?
>>64420353>I highly doubt this would happen with bolt rifles, and if it did it was truly a fluke. You just have to send enough lead downrange, one bullet will find something to hit.gallipoli_slotted_bullets.jpg
People, especially Americans used to hunt regularly, daily. Taking birds, small fast dodgy game. Shooting several things every day for 6 occasionally 7 days a week. I'm 52, when I was a kid I used an old Sear's and Roebuck bolt action .22LR with a 7 round mag. Dad bought me 2 500 round bricks of Remington .22LR. I had to shoot it all or come Friday, I'd only get as much ammo as I had shot the previous week. A running jackrabbit at 80 yards would get popped in the head. Had a couple of old failed steel Welltrol water pressure tanks set on a hillside. From over 300 yards away, I'd read the wind and knew where to aim, sometimes what appeared drastically off from the target, to hear the sound of lead slapping steel a few seconds after I fired. A friend let me try his .22 automatic Marlin. He tossed an freshly emptied coke can out. I emptied the tubular mag in under 3 seconds, every round hitting the can that I sent into the air with the first shot, the can violently changing direction when I hit on the profile edge instead of center mass. Shoot enough, have talent, and your skills appear superhuman to most others. But they perish, quickly. If I took a break for a few days from illness or a vacation away from home, it took a couple of weeks to get back to my expected performance. With the annoying miss as I got dialed back in.. 15 year old me could have cleared an attack swarm of up to 16 drones without doubt with a semi auto.22LR. model 60. Today, I'd consider myself lucky to fend off 3. Because I just don't shoot like that anymore and my reflexes at 52 are a shadow of my 15 year old stats.
>>64420335AMERICAN shotguns were so effective at clearing the trenches that the HUNS started killing every shotgunner they could get their hands on with their SAWED-BACK BAYONETS
>>64420353>implying city slickers didn't like shooting My nigga, poors and browns have been shooting each other in Chicago since fucking Du Sable.

>>64420465>muh trenchgun fuddlorenext you'll tell me about how Napoleon ordered the same for anyone caught with a Giradoni air rifle, or how the soviets designed the AK so that it could fire NATO rounds and our rifles couldn't fire theirs
>>64420404>mericans used to hunt regularlystill do>A running jackrabbit at 80 yards would get popped in the headyou would've struggled, even in youth, to see an animal that small at that distance and if you ever hit one in the head at that distance it was luck not skill>15 year old me could have cleared an attack swarm of up to 16 drones15 year old you would've instantaneously filled your britches with shit at your first encounter, assuming you were lucky enough to survive it, with an attack drone. shooting attack drones is not hard. you might shoot down 8 and the 9th gets you. You might shoot down a hundred and the hundred and first gets you.
>>64420335>WW1 America was stronger than modern Russia We know that already.
>>64421550>You might shoot down a hundred and the hundred and first gets you.Nta but no one has ever been attacked by 100 drones or anything close to it.
