Do navy pilots get to listen to music when they fly? I imagine it must get pretty boring on missions between take-off and landing.
>LEMON LEMON LEMON LEMON LEMON LEMON LEMON
>>64430141absolutely rent free from the resident chinkspammer>>64430251I assume not, carrier operations are pretty high tempo and need concentration.
bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
>>64430272
>>64430251Yes you can. Its not common really but I never was in a squadron that had SOPs actually banning it.
>>64430310that's actually pretty surprising, how do they do it? do they have their own equipment or do they play it through the helmet gear?
>i am a happily married man >i am a happily married man
>go on dvids>lastest carrier ops vid is straight kinothank you DMA
>>64430141Is their JBD one solid piece? Seems silly desu.
>>64430991It's not a single piece though
West taiwan's carrier only has 3 catapults.
Thanks, I was mostly asking. Good to know.
>>64430336
>>64431054Why is the sea so calm? Do you have any videos of rough seas launch and landing? And why is the J-35 riding so high on its landing gear? Seems like it's completely empty, with just enough fuel to take-off and land right away.

COUGARSWhere? Asking for a friend
>>64433956I swear I've seen this on a game cover
>>64434528wonder what the back seater does with the blues
>>64434878 The back seater is a journalist or other person that they let ride along.
>>64434878Try not to throw up. One of the best Hornet demos ever. And they say the F-35 has just as good low alt, low speed high alpha maneuverability. The F-35C with its bigger wing is said to be the best at this. I just hope, one day, we'll get to see some unrestricted flying like we did with this Hornet once they were being phased out.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgltp-WM_YU
>>64435203I'll just go ahead and dump what I got on the Hornet and Super Hornet.
>>64435209Also, can someone WebM/MP4 the better parts of this air demo (>>64435203), or at least tell me what programs to use and how to into the setting, please? Yes, I know I'm a pleb.
>>64435218RIP in piece, little buddy.
>>64435221
>>64435234
>>64435238The Super Hornet carries a tiny bit of F-22 DNA with its supersonic-efficient caret inlet. With the F-22 being the first in the world to have one. Boeing was part of the F-22 design team - along with General Dynamics, and they carried it over to the SH. The YF-22's wing design was actually a GD design, also.
>>64435265
>>64435271
>>64435238>>64435209why dont they run these 'tests' with weapon loads?isnt an actual combat sortie the only reason a 'austere' runway like a road being used
>>64435274
>>64435265I didnt know crossing peaks inverted was actually the "real" technique untill after I saw the new Top-Gun and was thought when it showed them inverting over obstacles was just 'hollywood' shit
>>64435275I'm sure they do, just happens that those didn't have them.>>64435282Yeah, when trying to fly nap of the earth you invert to keep a positive G load on your wings as you will get over to the other side much quicker than just pushing forward on your stick and unloading your wings, making the turn less tight or sharp. US cruise missiles do the same thing right before impact. They do a pop-up, go inverted, and steep dive maneuver to keep the airframe positively loaded and get the sharpest, fastest turn they physically can to decrease enemy reaction time.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjtSXJGxMNE
>>64435307Only have this and another kill, and no more vids, sadly.
>>64435318
>>64435307>>64435318>>64435320never seen any of these. thanks man.
>>64431348This crap is uncanny.
>>64435203>Try not to throw updisplay teams flights are usually the most tame. They often have photographers and never pull that many Gs, and if they do they are gradual to stay in a elegant formation.
>>64430045WWWEEELLL
>>64436969Rollercoasters don't pull any Gs, but countless people throw up riding them. I'll let you burn that smooth brain up figuring out why.
>>64437111I've literally been on 2 fami flights aboard a F-16D and my brother in law is such a photographer, I know what I am talking about.
