As a friendly reminder the DPRK has total over all superiority against Russia in troop strength, armored strength and artillery both SP and towed. They also have total naval dominance in the Pacific compared to Russia and make more artillery shells and rockets than Russia does.

They are close to getting air dominance as well.

That concludes my monthly reminder.

Not in the slightest, Seoul is safe for the foreseeable future. At the moment the DPRK's nuclear armed missiles are pointed more towards Beijing than anywhere else.

This is probably the best thread to ask this question, but I remember some mythical BTR-82 based APC that Russians were making pop up in telegram channels from time to time, with a more centre-aligned turret and rear door.
And no, it was not the Bumerang, I specifically remember it being made as a budget alternative to that thing.

>>

incredible to think that was when the Russian army was well equipped
>>
>>64434088
Taking Moscow is the only option because it's the only place in russia that really matters. If you take Moscow and the current tsar can't stop you, you've shown him as too weak to rule. That means people looking to make friends with (and be rewarded by) the new, strong tsar are going to come out of the woodwork. Priggy's mistake in not marching on Moscow was believing monke actually was his friend and that rebelling against higher ranking boyars wouldn't get him killed. If he had taken it he would have been de facto in control of russia. Monke would have stayed on the throne of course, but the Shoigun certainly would have been purged and Priggy would have been able to run things behind the scenes. At the end of the day though he was just a retarded capo who genuinely thought the don valued him.

Russia not introducing pic related (a derivative of the program) may have unironically lost them the war in Ukraine.

Poland like 15 years ago (very poor at that time) was able to buy/build ~1000 Rosomak IFV's (Patria AMV's). Russia being unable to get pic related in production, at scale, is probably the most pathetic thing we have ever seen from them.

Imagine the combat effectiveness they would have had in the initial invasion if they had, say, 2000 modern wheeled Bumerang IFV's. With decent optics and a modern gun they would have been far more effective in combat than the elderly BTR's they have in service. While each platform has an extra 200km operational range, which lessens logistical burdens, and is far more survivable, reducing casualties among your initial forces (who will always be better trained than their replacements).

Had they got them in service, at scale, they would have maybe had a chance at zerg-rushing key objectives in the first week. But they didnt, they had a big fat army full of 50+ year old tracked vehicles that was slow and cumbersom that got stuck on country roads.

>>
>>64437478
That wouldn't have done anything to change the rigid soviet command system, the complete breakdown of logistics, massively underestimating Ukranian resistance, and most importantly half a century of institutionalized corruption so bad commanders were selling off fuel and medical supplies up to the day of the invasion. Russia lost the war the second Ukraine didn't immediately fold, and all those would have done is ended up stuck in a field without any fuel.

>>
>>64437478
Ah yes, that's right, through another 2,000 vehicles into the army set on attack + move to Kiev. Make that 40km stalled convoy 70km instead.
>n-n-no I mean use them instead of X Y Z
Ah so they still have the 40km stalled convoy
>b-b-but fuel efficiency is better than X YZ
Ah so only 30km stalled convoy?

The invasion would have worked if

1. Russia had spent another 18 months working on kompromating Ukrainian politicians and command structures like the FSB asked Putin to do instead
2. Russia had planned for a proper war, not a two week one with a regime change done in three days (originally the plan was to get to Kiev in 48 hours)
3. Russia had invested in both the logistics and non-corrupt police force to make sure the logistics didn't do what they did which was mass sell their fuel, ammo, MREs, body armour and anything else they could get their hands on because they thought it would be over in a day or two and they could get some extra cash and say the equipment was lost in action.

No single wunderwaffen could have changed the tide of the war that was doomed from the beginning.
>>
>>64437653
>that was doomed from the beginning
Well it isn't really doomed, it's just a million times more costly both in manpower, materiel and long term economic stability. As long as Trump keeps trying to give Putin everything he wants and more, they're fine.

As for weapons, had they had their planned 3,000 T-14's or however many it was they wanted for 2020, they might have progressed further simply because lack of explosive turret tossing.
>>
>>64437158
That's an interesting one, but not it.
I've found it, it was the BTR-22.
>>
>>64437567
Drone and artillery delivered antipersonnel mines have made wheeled vehicles almost irrelevant on the front lines of Ukraine. A PFM pops tires every time and a bomber drone can carry a hundred of them farther than one AT mine.
Ukrainians say tracks are mandatory for the front lines in 2025.
>>
>>64437827
Why haven't both sides developed makeshift mine plows? They'd be far more effective than cope cages and easier to build.
>>
>>64437946
