>>64434393yeah, this should improve flight characteristics of this tank when you get a chain reaction of those mines.
The real answer is that they're for laying smoke The funny answer is that it's similar to russian infantry pulling the pin on a grenade and holding it in their hand when under drone attack. If they're hit their own grenade finishes them off, if not they put the pin back in.
>>64434402>Putting the pin back in a grenadeWhy does this board know nothing about weapons?
>>64434402>laying smoketrue, only smoke left after those go off.
>>64434410>Why does this board know nothing about weapons? You tell us, as you appear to be the clueless idiot who can't figure out how this works.>Pull pin but don't release the spoon>grenade doesn't go off, but if the drone hits them and makes them lose their grip on the grenade, it will.>drone attack fails>put pin back in grenade>now they can let go of the spoon without it going off.>put grenade away & resume hitting the vodka
>>64434410There is a reason that they print "FRONT TOWARDS ENEMY" on claymores.
>>64434371If you know anything about Russia you know that they got this really strange fetish for anti-tank mines during the Cold War and they haven't been able to shake it since.

>>64434398That's just how many languages work:subject > predicate verb > object/predicativeMany languages also don't use or need to state things "being" something in the sentence (is / are).ie. Instead of asking "What does Tom think of this?",non-English people simply ask "What Tom thinks of this?"
>>64434410its not the pin that sets off the grenade idiot, its the little lever thing on top, the pin just holds it in place, when you pull it out, it falls off, which starts the fuse. You can pull the pin and hold it on to keep the fuse from starting, since you dont want the extremely short timer on your explosive device starting while you're still holding it, only once you've thrown it and you're no longer holding that little lever. If you decide not to throw it and you havent removed that lever piece, you can put the pin back in and it will go back to holding it in place without setting off the bomb.
Trainer anti tank mines are being used as smoke machines.
>>64434371So in Battlefield 2 there would be a delay for mine to go off for planes as they took off to prevent people from mining airfields but you could get around this by placing the mines directly on the planes themselves; I got so many kills this way and probably was one of the reasons why Battlefield games don't you enter the enemy HQ anymore.
>>64434815The term you're looking for is spoon.
>>64434562>Kms button
>>64434815While this is technically correct it should be noted that it is very difficult to replace the pin on the RGD-5 (impossible on some of the older fuse types), so I find stories of soldiers doing it habitually highly doubtful.
>>64434382i guess they rather live
>>64434591My guess about why you always see ESLs do that online is that google and such searches also reinforce it, making it commonly more useful to guess the title of the page with the answer rather than properly ask a question.

And people love to meme about that back. Like this, or some time ago there was a trend of posting mock-"real stories" about how "I asked them in store to ppp-adjust the price of a graphics card/iphone/car/new shoes, and they sold it to me for 1/5th of original price! wow I do love PPP!".
>>64438940>>64438092What he said. It has enough merit to not be a complete lie so it's used as an easy excuse. Do note that a stereotypical non-moscovite russian has not even a concept of abundance, has never been abroad and grew up believing that a comfy life in the west is just movie magic and thus does not even think to generate a desire to make things pretty. The image on the right actually shows desire for self-improvement despite a lack of money. >>64440748>Is the pin deformed on russian grenades when pulled?I am struggling to find a good photo of it, but yes. The 'pin' in the most common Russian grenade fuse type is not a straight pin but rather a piece of wire that's threaded through the spoon and fuse body then wrapped partially around the fuse.
>>64441047>USA is already capitulatingSomebody didn't get the good news.
gentlemen, I present to you the ultimate shed
>>64441821You just straigthen the pin ends before putting it back in the fuse (if they wasn't straightened enough from pulling it out), and bend them back to fasten the pin. Why would you post about this when you clearly know nothing?
>>64441821>not a straight pin but rather a piece of wire....They're called split pin or Cotter pins.Still very common in various industrial and agricultural applications. They used to be common on automobiles and other vehicles too before the invention of Nylock⢠nuts and liquid thread locking compound.

He reportedly attempted suicide by poison, which failed because of his immunity to the substance.[20] According to Appian's Roman History, he then requested his Gallic bodyguard and friend, Bituitus, to kill him by the sword."Hmmm, yes.
