Will this kill of Jdams, laser guided bombs, gbu39 and hellfires?>WhatStormbreaker, basicaly and FPV bomb but with ai
>>64435405>but with aiwhat does that even meanwhy does everything have to be the same old shit BUT WIF AY EYE
>>64435405An FPV bomb with ai is just a guided bomb you fucking retard goddamn
You should be in charge of procurement, it's time to kill all those semi-overlapping and complementary system, lets make Universal Ordnance Hard Hitting UOHH
>>64435419>>64435427It can strike moving targets using IR image recognition
>kill of>basicaly and
>>64435405They’re like 5x the price of basic bitch jdams and have tiny warheads. They’re more maverick replacements
>>64435473wow. makes me feel like we're living in the futuristic age of 1980
>>64435490I wonder what's up with this, see retarded grammar mistakes all over the place in OPs and on Instagram, etc. Is it something the shills have figured out will drive engagement? Surely not every one of those posters is an ESLoid
>>64435473it's actually dual IR/radar seeker with sensor fusion feeding into vehicle recognition software with GPS, datalink and a laser seeker added on top.
>>64435660It's entirely possible people are just getting dumber. It's also entirely possible retards are stumbling across news about these things on their skinner box social media feeds and in typical retard fashion they ask retarded questions in shitty English.
>>64435419>what does that even meanIt means it can fuse the data from its IR and MMW radar seeker to identify targets autonomously, even on pop-up targets that weren't there when it was launched. Using that data, it can prioritize what threat is most important for it to target and target it, and once it has a higher resolution "picture" of the target it can pick the best area in which to hit the target for the highest chance of effectiveness, along with selecting the best possible route to take to that target to ensure maximum damage. They can do BDA for themselves or the others in their group. They're also networked through data-links with the rest of their group (if you launch 8 Stormbreakers, all of them will be networked together) acting as a swarm. Talking to each other and making an attack plan on how to best attack a threat group, direct which of them is going to hit what target, where, when, from what direction, etc. Then, if you're launching any other smart munitions, they will talk with them too, like JASSM, LRASM, Tomahawk, any of the cheap CMs being built and fielded now, etc.https://www.airandspaceforces.com/PDF/SiteCollectionDocuments/Reports/2010/August%202010/Day25/SDBII_factsheet_0810.pdfhttps://www.twz.com/38604/the-age-of-swarming-air-launched-munitions-has-officially-begun-with-air-force-testhttps://www.twz.com/28706/usaf-wants-to-network-its-precision-munitions-together-into-a-golden-horde-swarmhttps://afresearchlab.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/02/AFRL_Golden-Horde_FS_0922.pdf
>>64435473>It can strike moving targets using IR image recognition
>>64435660>I wonder what's up with thisTake a wild guess...
>>64435419AI is when a machine does stuff, and the more stuff it does the more AI-ier it is.
>>64435848BRICS ruined the internet LOL
>>64435815>a contrast seeker is the same as IIR
>>64435920>capability :/>capability + the word "AI" :o
>>64435920>IIR Mavericks haven't existed since the late 70s
>>64435405Probably not. SDMIIs are still more expensive than a WW2 leftover with a GPS package and not quite as penetrating as a laser guided bunker buster. We might see less hellfires but a hellfire has a pretty big warhead.
SDB replaces the nonexistent Mk81 GBU as a munition to hit single vehicles or group of personnel, the alternative is to have Mk82 based PGMs that take up an entire pylon where you could pack 4 SDBs. The only weapon it truly replaces is the Maverick
>>64435914Yes, they BRICked the internet.
