>>64445013To be fair the Italians are actually being pretty honest with this one: Trieste is fully intended to perform mainly amphibious ship duties, being the flagship of the Italian sea projection force. The main carrier and flagship of the Navy is still the Cavour, and unless shit hits the fan the Trieste is supposed to take over that role only when Cavour is out of commission for maintenance or upgrades.
