https://x.com/MargoMartin47/status/1982260645861949741?The Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) F/A-18D Hornet aircraft accompanied the official aircraft of US President Donald Trump as it entered Malaysian airspace to attend the 47th ASEAN Summit in Kuala Lumpur. In geopolitics, charm is power and Malaysia just proved it. It’s the reflection of how Malaysia Madani Diplomacy quietly reshaped its global standing engaging both Washington and Beijing without bowing to either earning respect even from those once seen as adversaries
None other than former US Navy pilot Trevor "Gonky" Hartsock is a Boeing contractor who'd trained RMAF Hornet pilots when MLU prog was initiated to bring the Malaysian D++ Nitestrike variant to Mod25X standard.Gonky's top 5 toughest dogfight:>1. RMAF BAe Hawk Mk108/208>2. Northrop F-5>3. RMAF Su-30MKM>4. F-16>5. Boeing F/A-18https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duejFDL04P0The F-22 never comes around Malaysia anymore because China doesn't like the idea of Su-30MKM which is more advanced than their basic J-15 being used by Raptor pilots to develop countermeasures. For reminder of what happened during the last Cope Taufan, the F-22 lost to the Sukhois by a 3 time lockdown confirmed kills. the RMAF Sukhoi SU-30MKM were be able to detect and locked into USAF Lockheed Martin F-22A Raptor in stealth mode during Cope Taufan 2014 joined USAF & RMAF exercises. As per Gonky's deduction as former USAF Reserve adversary pilot and former Boeing contractor, the RMAF Su-30MKM is considered as a formidable fighter in the air giving great opportunity for USAF pilots to hav a feel on their potential opponent.
I'll let this one slide, Malayschizo.
We should have upgraded to Super Hornets when we had the chance. We don't have many good 4th gen stopgaps to replace our ageing Hornets and Flankers, Super Hornets would've made a seamless addition to our fleet since there's an element of familiarity.

Ah sweet, a malayschizo thread
>>64448317Eventhough Boeing offers the Malaysian the new Super Hornet, it wont be easy for them if the US Congress keep trying to meddle in and trying to approve it only with terms. Although both countries are friends, Malaysia is not that close with US, unlike Singapore , which the US gave much favour too. Also, Putrajaya (Malaysia) did not recognized Israel and dont have any Diplomatic relationship with Tel Aviv. Unlike Singapore which is the strongest supporters of Israel's war against the Palestinian people. So, you can do the math why Malaysian prefer to get 2nd hand F-18 from Kuwait as a temporary "stop-gap measure" only, as a temporary filling in the procurement of fifth or sixth generation fighter jets that will begin in the 14th Malaysia Plan (RM14 & RM15) 2030-2040. For the new MRCA procurement plan, Malaysia may get SU-57 fighter jets from Russia and KF-21 from South Korea or even KAAN from Turkey because they have already offered it to Malaysia.Russia has already offered the SU57 package along with the S400 to Malaysia. The US gives too many conditions and no freedom to repair or upgrade the aircraft made in the United States. Most recently, Malaysia has held discussions with the Russian authorities to obtain the Mig-35 as well as the 5th generation Sukhoi Su-57 aircraft because Russia guarantees technology exchange and aircraft upgrades in the future.
>>64448381lol why is the plane made out of Meccano
>>64448386Stealth rivets, pls understand
>implying that's the real Air Force One and not the decoy>implying the actual AF1 will let any other Chairforce get near them(lolThey don't even allow Jap, Bong or any NATO Chairforce fly in formation with the real AF1
For decades, Malaysia has received small, symbolic U.S. military assistance — limited to training, technical exchanges, and minor support for radar and patrols, with no political strings attached. That has now changed. With the US$7 million (RM29.5 million) Foreign Military Financing tied to the Reciprocal Trade Agreement and the transfer of another U.S. Coast Guard vessel, Malaysia enters a new phase — becoming a recipient of conditional military aid, linked to strategic alignment with Washington and enforcement roles in maritime security and export control. What was once technical cooperation is now edging toward strategic dependence.

>>64451137Nothing stopping USA from having good relation with Malaysia. Just stop support for Zionist occupation regime in Palestine and illegal invasion against Iraq, and trying to sanction neutral countries that have relations with Russia.
The US Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth will visit Malaysia for the ASEAN Defense Ministers' Meeting in late October and early November. The visit, following the US President's visit earlier this week, signifies Malaysia's growing prominence on the global geopolitical stage.
>>64448317Buddy, do you know that Malaysia at some point bought war planes from the US to find out they're missing steering controls? Why would anybody trust the US? The US just wants our money, good military equipment and hardware are only for the zionist entity to murder Palestinians.America has few to offer nor their promises carry any weight with how Trump threw trade out the window which pissed off a lot of people.Unless there is need to buy F-35 I don't see much benefit of being their exclusive puppet when it will only end up with local business being assimilated by their megacorp. They build up west Germany, South Korea and Japan to be their cannon fodder, they don't have much use for most the likes of Malaysia when Vietnam exists.
