Drones make the second line unplayable. Traditionally your first line is your combat forces doing combat things. Your second line is your medics and cooks and maintainers and engineers, who hang around 5-15km behind the front. They can no longer operate in this space. Its causing huge problems for both sides. Ukrainians are having a problem right now with resupply getting to the very front. Russians cant help their wounded (and don't care enough to seriously try).
