Yes, ignore the haters, post knucks
>>
Has anyone ever made actual "fitted" ones?
What I am thinking is literally taking model clay and forming it around your fist and then making a cast.
That way you would have a knuckleduster than would exactly fit your hand. And it would just look like some piece of modern art instead of a well-known felon tool.

Almost certainly, although I can't imagine they were made in the way you're describing. A mold of a fist is essentially just a ball, what are you fitting to that and how would it "just look like some piece of modern art instead of a well-known felon tool"?

I'm sorry, I was not being clear: I didn't mean to literally make a model of your fist.
I meant to basically make a model of your (almost) closed fist, which would look more like a weird sausage, and then connect the outside part around your fist to that. You don't even need to have a proper shape for the punching element, so in the end that entire thing can look like a smushed donut or something like that.
The important part is that it fits perfectly into your fist, so you forego the known problems or the duster moving and breaking your fingers or not properly transferring the force from your arm into the punching element.

Sadly I can't post pictures because I am still in the range of some subhuman who got everyone banned for life.

>teflon-coated assault knuckle duster that go shing when the shoulder thing goes up
There, I created the most illegal weapon possible under US law.

You don't want to it to fit exactly to your fist. If the stalls are too tight, then all the force gets transferred to your knuckles, which is the opposite of what you want and what causes the finger break problem.

That's what the palm bit is for, no? To brace against your fingers from behind and transfer all the force into your forearm

I have two sets of knuckles. One is very classic and made of nautical brass and the other is chrome plated steel. The brass set was sanded and rounded a bit in production but the steel set is all sharp edges and I can only image the cuts it would cause with basically no effort. It would frankly be really gross with even glancing hits.

You put them in your pockets and if you want to punch someone who is bigger or tougher then you then you use brass knuckles to sucker punch punch them then you smash in their head and kill them. Stomp their head to make sure.

That's how you get a conviction for murder.

Brass knuckles are a great equalizer in a fist fight against multiple people who are unskilled in basic hand to hand combat if you have basic hand to hand skills, the problem is brass knuckles are also a really good way to kill someone even if you did not intend to do it. If you want to kill someone via punching them then brass knuckles are your choice of weapon just be aware that you might get shot if their friends have guns and the legal system frowns on it. Brass knuckles work if you want to beat someone to death in a gutter and crack their skull where you can't be observed doing it, don't use them where anyone can see.

A teenager I'm tangetially related to was just a couple weeks ago given severe brain damage, possibly a permanent retardation, and it still isn't known if he's eventually going to just die, because another kid sucker punched him with knucks, wailed on him, then came back to kick him in the head.
Not reported on any news which bothers me. The attacker is a high school teen but apparently? is also someone who is 3rd dan black belt with "registered hands" so I dont know how that affects things.

If it was me personally, considering other things about the situation I won't discuss, I'd kill his father and brother if my son died from this. But that's just me and what I'd do.

Knuckles are dumb not because of the potential but because the typical "human being" isn't what I classify as a person capable of control over such a thing.

Damn.

Registered hands is bullshit, but knuckles are really just a murder weapon in the US. From a self-defence point of view, unless you're a prohibited person, you will get in the same amount, or less trouble using a gun over knuckles. If you're going out to mess someone up the only charges you miss out on with knuckles are firearm enhancements. If you can't carry a firearm a roll of quarters, or something similar is nice. I've broken a lot of jaws that way, will fuck your hand up if you connect with the skull though. No one questions you carrying quarters and you can ditch it after using and plenty of people will be happy to dispose of the evidence for you

Why would I want knuckle dusters when I can just get a roll of quarters
