Its very healthy. The crew gets to spend much more time in the back lines, repairing. It's an important feature of the gun that protects the crew.

I fucking hate how video games suck off this retarded design. Ever since I saw that gun wobble and they have the same problem on their attack helicopters it becomes obvious how amateurish russian engineering has to be or how much managerial interference keeps these retarded designs as they are.
>>64451675
It has a lot of guns and the outline is cool, but it's actual cargo-cult shit because it obviously lacks any of the actual engineering to make it work. If it were a western design it would have had one gun that would actually hit something with a co-axial GMG and HMG for extra dakka.

Remember, the reason why the BMPT has two autocannon is because the Russians couldn’t figure out how to make a gun that can feed two different ammo types.

you can see both guns ejecting shells in op's video simultaneously from the front port and the rear port. the BMP-T72's don't have a dual feed mechanism for the guns, meaning one is loaded with HEI/HE and the other with an AP round. They're intended to be fired one at a time subject to the need of the target. OP's vid is them just laying down both guns to impress 3rd world MIC buyers which leads to an incredible fucking wobble.

They wobble even when fired one at a time, and the offset recoil impulse causes the turret to traverse on its own.

>>64456272

Has to do with the fact that the BMP-T uses a T-72 hull. Not a whole lot of room in there when compared to an actual BMP hull
>>
>>64450203
This makes the Warrior look good.
>>
>>64457779
because like the rest of the terminator, "it looks cool"
don't ask about the optics with the giant overhanging turret, either.
>>
>>64455830
i'm pretty sure that's exactly why the BMP guns are inaccurate, meanwhile the .50cal and 14.5mm guns are resonnably accurate.
if you look at the soviet doctrine (which the russians still use) APC charge ahead with the infantry and never stay back to provide support, so i guess "accuracy" wasn't a requirement for the canons
>>
Very impressive. It harnesses mechanized Gun Katta to apply a perpendicular interior ballistic force as the round traverses through the barrel imparting a lateral drift that allows the projectile to curve around barriers.
>>
>>64457549
>and the offset recoil impulse causes the turret to traverse on its own.
thats like in Waterworld with the quad .50
imagine these things hosing something down and slowly the turret rotates away from the target and hits their own shit
>>
>>64457661
but they had to do that because they put two in
some chicken and the egg shit is going on with this design
>>
>>64457724
You just peed, but the last drop won't come off
>>
>>64457648
Theres a few reasons floating around. The most common I've heard is they couldn't get the dual feed to work with the extreme vertical gun elevation in the t72sturret ring. The whole impetus of the terminator was to have an ifv that could protect columns moving in urban or narrow vertical mountain environs and engage enemies basically directly above them. Since in Afghanis and Chechens had a habit of ambushing russians from directly above and scoring horrendous damage with outdated anti tank weapons.
