>Double Jump, enchance slide/Dash, grappling hook, bigger jumps due to exo suit, ability to breach a reinforced Door/brick Wall with a kickWould the increase in mobility be any good in Urban fighting?
>>64454961>Battery runs outNo. It would be shit.
>>64454961>Double Jump>>>/v/
>>64454961I'm gonna say it, the future CODs before BO3 and 4 were good (at least by COD standards)
>are mechs good for u
>>64454961Assuming it had the battery life to sustain long use periods yeah. "Double jump" capability would require thrusters of some sort which would be a fucking retarded weight increase and undoubtedly a huge power consumer. They'd be especially stupid if your increased jump height and grapple both work. The thing I'd want over jumping higher and having a grappling hook would be extra plates attached to the exo itself instead of all worn by the soldier.Burden reduction and increased protection without reduced mobility is far better than zipping around like in your vidya games. I'd rather have my troops able to fight longer and carry more before exhaustion sets in while being generally safer in the process. It'd also be more helpful outside of combat than CoD's spaz suit.Pic related would be the dream mix of both but don't expect anything like that for a LOOONG time. You might not live to see it. Powered exoskeletons however are actually kinda old tech, just never caught on because OG models needed umbilicals and were heinously expensive. The tech tree required to make cheaper more effective exos is advancing pretty well today. Last time I mentioned it some retard REEEd about it but Elon Musk's companies are basically speedrunning all of the necessary advancements for his Mars goals.>>64454966Everything runs out anon. Gas, ammo, med supplies, everything. The issue is making sure it runs down slowly enough and/or capacity is high enough that it's not trash. As an example, probably the single biggest issue with the M-7 is going to be the likely reduction in carried ammo that comes with it. With things like an exo-skeleton if the power issues can be resolved you'd have to be a fucking moron to turn away at least limited deployment of this sort of exo-skeleton system (assuming it actually worked). Again though, you'd be better off focusing on burden reduction and better protection than some twitchy zippy thing for the vast majority of applications.
