How do you distinguish an exercise from a coup attempt?
>>
apparently the soldier was slightly wounded after the police shot about 40 rounds at him
they must've been really nervous when he shot that training ammo at them
>>
well he had level 3 body armor

These guys look like good guys.

DAG ammo? I would not want to be shot with smurf rounds. Not once.

Disgusting. Truly.

Why the hell would they hold an exercise in a place civilians could enter?

>that one time a Green Beret going through the Q-Course at Fort Bragg (I'm not calling it Fort Niggerlover, eat my ass) got wasted by a random sheriff after he pulled them over and they thought he was part of the exercise and straight up attacked him

Are all training exercises between law enforcement and military this retarded?
>>
>>64456532
>Why the hell would they hold an exercise in a place civilians could enter?
1) Germany is rather small so a real city is a much better training ground for MOUT than some "enemy village" on a proving ground
2) Maximum realism

Cops can be glad they didn't fought against my platoon.

>EVERY last Luchs in the unit ALWAYS carried a bunch of 20mil AP and HE in case shit went hot - and a box of 7.62 RFN for the coax too.

Before you ask: Panzeraufklärungsbataillon 5. We, together with 11th ACR, were the guardians of the Fulda gap. So we always packed heat.

He was too busy committing false flag terrorist attacks against civilians as a part of Operation Gladio. They blamed the attacks on communists, if that counts.

It happened in 2002, so at least it wasn't any more meaningless than every other military casualty from that time period (they all died for nothing)

When your "exercise" starts to stock up on (normally) very low usage materiel that have very short time of expenditure. In RU invasion of UA it was blatant when the invaders started to stock up on blood plasma.
>>

I insulted the ESL poster in (bad) bavarian to fuck with auto-translate. He should be nicer to the ancient Aufklärer.
Regional dialects, as allways, are a refuge from monolinguals (mostly anglos) or standard german speakers.

Don't worry, they ungayed the name.

in the Bundeswehr, beards are authorized for Gebirgsjäger. His beard looks a little bit longer than the 2cm authorized growth length. As for the ear plug, if he had gauges before he enlisted/was conscripted, a flesh-colored plug is the most formal way to cover it up, rather than just having the saggy lobes hang down.

Ah, this pic.

A few days ago while hiking innawoods I found a discarded first aid kit.
When I initially saw it, I was reminded of this pic.
It was lying in a ditch amidst vegetation, wet and dirty.
Just like that kit, it was older than Russian federation.
But the contents were in much better condition than that.
No mold. Bandages looked pristine despite being 10x older than their use-before dates.

Bragg is literally one of the worst people you could name a fort over, anon. He sucked. That being said, Fort Liberty is a name more wrong than two boys fucking. The one good name change was Fort Moore, since Hal Moore is a cool motherfucker, and the missed opportunity was Ft. Hood, which should have been renamed Fort Benavidez, but faggot officers have to get theirs.
>>
>>64456875
>wikipedia as a source
It's still Fort Liberty. The US just changed how they refer to it due to a faggot executive order, but on every piece of paper that matters it is still the same.
>>
>>64458913
No, anon. The law only directed the SecDef to form a commission for the renaming of the forts to people who were not associated with the confederacy. This was done, and resulted in Ft. Benning being renamed to Ft. Moore, Bragg to Liberty, and so on, and so on. What the Hegseth has done is to find SMs who share the same last names as the Confederate Generals and renamed to forts after them so as to essentially revert the name changes without technically violating the directive set by congress. This is, of course, a little wink and nudge, because the real goal is to appease faggots who want to keep honoring traitors by naming our bases after them, so they'll ignore the various corporals, privates, etc that were used to revert the name changes, and it will continue to be about the old name. It's a stupid game, and after this administration is over, the names will go back, same with the Gulf of Mexico.

Considering the state of it, it's fitting.
>>
>>64458943
Gulf of Mexico makes sense though. there's like 30 countries on the Gulf, all of them are America (North, Central or South) only one is Mexico.
>>
>>64459541
>Aren’t police normally supposed to carry live ammo on duty?
A minor plot point in Orphan Black had the noguns protagonist impersonating her sister/clone who was a cop and leaving her service pistol unloaded because she was afraid of shooting someone and doesn't even know how to use the weapon.

Her "partner" later notices this and thoroughly chews her out for not having his back.
>>
>>64455535
Tell LEO you are sending the army into towns, this whole thing is fucking retarded.
>>
>>64455535
>How do you distinguish an exercise from a coup attempt?
You can't really, if there's some procedure to inform civilian authorities about an exercise then the army will just use that procedure as part of their coup.

The only solution is trust in the military and police both and rule of law in the country.
Germany has that and if the soldiers had not of opened fire, the police might well have talked to them and understood the situation without escalation.
Returning fire was the only sensible response from them under the circumstances.

fuck me big euros gears are rusty as shit. They really did 200% buy into the "end of history" horse shit at the end of the cold war, didn't they?
