Boy have I got the 1911 for you, Comrade!

The real winner of WW2. This gun shot more enemies of communism than the 1911 had shot enemies of freedom. Remind them of this every day.

Then you should get a CZ-52. That way you can have a really terrible gun in your favorite caliber and you'll appreciate the Tokarev a lot more.

Between the Nagant, Tokarev, and Makarov, which one actually has the record for enemies of Communism (most frequently other Communists, useful idiots, and fall guys) killed?

I have one of these with a broken safety lever so it's EXTRA garbage

it does feel like I could beat someone to death with it, run it over with a T-62, and then shoot someone with it though.. fucking 19 lb hunk of shit

>>64458443
I bet the makarov, since it's used all over the place and isn't a piece of shit, has deleted SO many communists from the inside, also it has a integrally suppressed model for when you want to get rid of your political dissidents really sneaky like
>>

The grip safety is because the gun needs an inertia safety as if dropped muzzle up with the thumb safety off, the weight of the trigger could pull itself. The engineers at Sig forgot this so when they made the p320 the weight of the trigger originally could pull itself when dropped muzzle up.

If you are a movie villain, and the dorky good guy snatches your gun, you are going to pretend being afraid as it points it at you, only to laugh and simply say "the secure" as he fails to shoot you, before regaining control of the situation.

How take: I honestly don't mind the extra safties and redundancy.
>>
>>64458443
Probably a toss up between the Tok and the some flavor of 32 pistol, lots of commies became good commies during the cultural revolution in China
>>64458486
Nah, by the time the Mak entered service the commies had become a little less trigger happy, at least compared to the days of Stalin's prime. Moreover the Mak never got much of a foothold in China and as such missed out on all the dead commies
>>
I hate safeties.
They are useless.
Everyone I wanna take a shot I forgot about the goddamn safety.
Not only that, but safety confuses me. Red means is ready to fire? I always thought it was backwards. Red is bad as in the gun isn't ready to fire.
Anyone else get this backwards?
>>
>>64458438
I really do like the slide removal though.
>>
>>64458486
>I have one of these with a broken safety lever so it's EXTRA garbage
can't you remove the safety?
I just bought one, and the one thing that would instantly make it more ergonomic is removing the switch
>>
Browning was a super genius, and compared to him, we (the end-users) are all a bunch of drooling retards, so he retard-proofed his gun.
>>
>>64459297
Red typically means danger. It the color of blood and so on. The gun is in the dangerous condition, I.e. ready to fire.
>>
>>64458362
Do you just keep the trigger depressed 24/7 and insert a mag and charge when you want to shoot?
If so you may be the most based retard to have ever lived.
I kneel.
>>
>>64458457
that's so many. good thing we're cooking up the third, we're slackin' bad.
>>
>>64459278
same. if you actually shoot your guns regularly you'll naturally train yourself to clack the safety off when you draw/present. The only people getting spicy about it are the ones who don't train.

What in the fuck motivates funmakers into creating these boutique rounds that basically guarantee they won't see a return on investment, since nobody is going to pony up for plinkers that make .50BMG look affordable. Do they really believe that, outside of a major power arms procurement, these one-offs will be profitable?

I don't know, get a Ouija board and ask John Moses Browning.
>>
>>64458361
It’s all because it had a light trigger for accuracy. 1911 philosophy was that an accurate shot with a more complicated draw was better than a fast and easy miss.

Back when the average IQ of america was higher it was generally recognized that light triggers made guns more dangerous to handle. You can pump yourself up with bravado like >>64458362 all you want but in self defense and combat, gun safety skills are the first to go.

Today the average IQ of a soldier/cop is nearly in the 80s and they all carry safetyless pistols with light triggers because DRRR GUNS R ONLY AS SAFE AS DUH OPERATOR!!!1! and as such, police and soldiers are constantly shooting people, themselves, and each other by accident.

The extremely low per unit cost of a glock did not help matters.

And then SOF SOCOM SPECOPS tryhards started fanboying these guns because they think they are the most perfect men on earth and no one else deserves a gun.

This guy starts panting and having a panic attack and grabbing at his holster when someone cuts him off in traffic
>>
>>64462459
No, I am the one cutting people off in traffic so they wiggle their holster too vigorously and p320 their dick off

>It’s all because it had a light trigger for accuracy. 1911 philosophy was that an accurate shot with a more complicated draw was better than a fast and easy miss.
No that's not why at all you fucking retard. https://www.wearethemighty.com/mighty-history/the-1911-pistol-is-not-just-as-john-moses-browning-intended/
>tl;dr
>Browning made the gun with no grip safety, Army asked for safeties and over time the design evolved into having a thumb and grip safety. These both tie in with drop testing safety and the manual of arms for cavalry
>>
>>64461646
32ACP used to be the standard carry cartridge and 25ACP was the pocket rocket cartridge.
Old timers were limp wristed weaklings compared to modern shooters. 9mm was a spicy military round when it came out, not someone a housewife carries.
>>
>>64458361
>i dont want them its all superfluous
John Moses Browning didn't want the grip safety either, but the Army insisted upon it.
>>
>>64461058
Goddamnit, I had a perfect Zastava meme for this, but it vanished from my SSD.
>>
>>64462652
What happened between the 60s-2010s? Chads with .357 mag, 10mm and .40 s&w, now everyone is a 9mmlet
>>
>>64462922
The FBI lowered the requirements for agent selection, allowing in manlets, lanklets and women. This is what happened. Police departments hold them in high regards, so they adopt whatever the FBI is using and most gun owners either want to larp as cops or as military, which is why Glocks and P320s are so popular among civilians.
>>
>>64461058
I could swear Real SIG(tm) chambered some pistols in that many, many years ago. So long ago that they were 220s with heel magazine releases. But I'm coming up empty on searches.
>>
>>64458361
So buy a glock, dumbass
>>
>>64458361
I hated the idea until I got a 1911. It just doesn't matter. If your hand is on the gun you automatically disengage the grip safety. Manual safety is a nothingburger.
