Who makes the best modern hipower? Is turkshit really that bad.
SpringfieldYes
>>64460634But doesnt the sa35 have extraction issues?
>>64460634The SA35 uses turkish parts,(Slide, Frame, Barrel IIRC).
>>64460644anything made after september 11th 2001 is not going to be perfect

Thsi thread looks like a good place to post Hi-power questions How hard is it to replace the safety on a Hi power? I have an old, small safety and want to put one of the bigger, ambidextrous on. Could it be done at home, or is this more of a gunsmith affair?
>>64460644No more than the real hi-powers made by browning. 100 year old designs are unreliable compared to modern designs, shocking I know.
>>64461046You can do it yourself, however for the ambi safety expect to use a dremel to remove a bit of material. Hi power parts are not like modern pistol parts that drop in. You have to fit them.
The BHP Recover grips look fuckin sick in the stock photos on the store pages. How do they look IRL?>>64460634>Springfield>qualityLMFAO no
Just get a 1911, there's no need to cope with less better guns in an inferior european chambering
I like the shape of the Hi-Power a lot, but I keep hearing all sorts of different things about themShould I get a SA-35 first and replace some parts like the extractor and springs, or go for an original Mk3 instead, and customize it by taking the mag safety out and putting the BH Spring Solutions Upgrade Kit in which includes an SFS systemThe first would be to get something more cheap to test out owning the design, and the second would be skipping the cheap one entirely in order to get the better version already It would be my first pistol but not my first gun
>>64460609Its high power, fuckin dumbass bitch piece of SHIT FUCKER FUCK YOU FUCK FUCK YOU
>>64462893The SA-35 is great, has all the upgrades you'd want to put on a MKIII for half the price.
>>64460609i scratched the shit outta my turkshit hellopower because i was too gay and retarded to realize i could hold the slide open with the safety for disassemblyoh wellat least i know now how to do to property when i get an original
>>64461109Would recommend a dremel only very briefly desu, run the risk of roughing it up too much or fucking it. Hand filing takes forever but hand filing and then sanding it until it's smooth, even polishing the trigger and other parts as well if you have it disassembled just makes it feel more like YOUR own gun and you take so much more ownership of it.
Oh cool another Hi Power thread. For the OP question: the best HP is still an FN, but if you want a clone, don't buy an SA35. There's a lot of weird issues with them that still haven't been fully figured out. I haven't handled it, but it seems that the Inglis L9A1 is a solid clone. It's not an L9A1 clone, rather it's a copy of a military contract style MK III, but most of the reports I've seen on it are positive. The real balling on a budget option for HPs is to find an FM or FEG. FM's especially are notoriously Boomer taxxed, but try to look around your local pawn shops for one in the ~$500 rangeI have Hi Power austim so I am happy to answer any questions about them
