Instead of using to fight with it, Iran should use to get some money.

What Iran has to do: restore it back ask much as they can to the stock F-14.
Paint it with the jolly rogers squad scheme.

Then charged people some $$$$$$ to fly at the back seat of the F-14.

I bet a lot of people would be willing to go there, and fly inside the F-14 at least once.

It is something that not even america can offer.

the tomcat isnt even the prettiest plane grumman ever made

I think the F-22 is the sexiest aircraft ever made. I’m sure playing Ace Combat 4 in my formative years had a part in it.

The aesthetics of a plane are inseparable from its cultural context. The F-14 is so aesthetic because it was an icon of the '80s and the '80s were fucking awesome.

>'80s
It entered squadron operational service in September 1974. It is a 1970s airplane.
(the only reason fucking plebbitards like (You) post that is because in the year 1985—a decade *after* it entered full operational service—a faggotard movie that gained massive box office came out. Additionally, in the year 1980, five years prior to Faggotard Movie, a movie entitled 'The Final Countdown' with carrier operations sequences filmed in 1979 was released that is far superior to Faggotard Movie and remains the only real Tomcat movie ever.)
The 1980s decade globally sucked balls.

Yes, I've seen The Final Countdown. My kids watched it before Top Gun. Anyway, '80s kids were the first kids who grew up with the Tomcat

>The 1980s decade globally sucked balls.
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I'm the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking dead, kiddo.

I disagree. I think that the cockpit looks nicer on the E and that the CFTs blend so well with the design of the plane that they make it look better. I also like the various paints found on the E models better than that light gray you posted. but I do think that the Cs are sexy too despite all of that. each to their own.

Wrong.
It entered squadron operation service in September 1974.
Nineteen-seventies kids were *the first* who grew up with the Tomcat.
('80s kids grew up with mass brainwashing bad hair and atrocious music)

I just like the big chunky gear of navy fighters. Airforce planes look like a bear riding a tricycle to me.
>>
>>64467000
originally designed with more swept wings as "proof of concept" for the final word in aircraft design....

It remains the template for all aircraft into the foreseeable future. Its like the first time someone made a four wheeled cart and tied it to a horse.

Two axle flow turbo jets under low swept wing and tail planes and swept tail, tricycle landing gear, fat fuselage, burning kerosene at 500mph at 30,000ft.

Aesthetics follows function.

Its what you end up with given Earth's gravity and atmosphere, and its why all airliners are now of that design.

1000yrs from now the Me-262 will be call the "first airplane" and everything prior just quirky false starts.

The level of automation in this thing and how it worked with GCI was insane.
A different division, but I'd say the B-58 pioneered even more advanced tech. I won't say it's more aesthetic, because I think pretty much all planes are uniquely aesthetic in their own way.
I literally learned how to read from those big airplane picture books and aviation encyclopedias. I am incapable of ranking aircraft in terms of aesthetics.
