Have they ever not made the wrong choice?
>>
>>64467010
Yeah obviously the sig is shit but in 2025 sidearms aren't that important to the military so it's an easy way for some spooks to grift money
>>
>>64467010
>not picking the airshit Beretta was a wrong choice
This was people living in non-super power nations actually believe.
>>
>>64467010
Please please please let us have those South American wars so we can stop with this ugly tan gun trend.
>>
>>64467042
Sidearms were never very important in the military.
>>
>>64467010
Glock 19x was the best gun.
>>
Glock 19X
>>
>>64467051
I hate tactishit colored guns as well.
>>
>>64467010
If I'd bet on jewish involvement in the design process, would I win money?
>>
>>64467040
We especially made the wrong choice saving your' ungrateful asses from Germany. Should have let them kill all of you, we'd have cities on Mars by now.
>>
>>64467051
You really miss your tigerstripe face paint huh?
>>
>>64467010
Isn't the Beretta mechanically kinda like a Kalashnikov, except with a tilting lock? That's what it always reminds me of when I look at it at least

Literally cover the pistol grip with your hand and now look at it. It's literally an AK lmao. You can't tell me you don't see the outline of the AK dust cover
>>
>>64467082
>>64467120
what in the absolute fuck are you talking about?
I don’t believe you have ever held, let alone disassembled either of those firearms
>>
>>64467087
Hnnnnggggh!
>>
>>64467129
I never said I owned a Beretta. Why are you so angry?
>>

>>
>>64467061
>>64467062
Is it worth it to snag a 19X MOS with the threaded barrel before Glock discontinues everything for the V series?
>>
>>64467082
No it’s basically what you’d get if the Walther P38 and Browning Hi-Power had a babby.

BUSSY! BOST BUSSSSSY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>>
>>64467010
Absolutely. Sig must have bribed someone. The trials got cut short of a complete test and in hindsight they went for the worst option available.

On paper the M9 was just too old at that point, but now that the M17 has pretty much every problem under the sun they'd be better off with clapped out WW2 vintage 1911s or no pistols at all. This whole thing is a debacle of the highest order and somebody better catch a court martial.
>>
>>64467010
should have chosen the Bersa TPR9
>>
>>64467010
Yeah, it's not an M&P Metal.
>>
nah fuck the beretta
>>
>>64467010
M9A3/A4 should have been adopted, but also the new gen locking blocks and upgrade kits should have been made available for all existing M9s and M9A1s. Upgrade the reserve/non-combat guns, field the A3/A4, and gradually replace any handgun that is too battered for upgrades with new production.
>>
literally does not matter, pistols are for MPs to shoot domestic abusers and for officers to not use

Yes. Handguns are for show and bartering between officers are they not? We should've picked a nice full size revolver since that would be better suited for both of those tasks.
The real question is:
>chrome with rubber
>chrome with wood
>blued with rubber
>blued with wood
I think i'd go with blued+wood for the navy, chrome+rubber for the army, blued+rubber for the marines, and chrome+wood for the air force.

multicam tropic is quite nice

trade a gun derived from a proven Nazi design for one from a company with freshly installed Jewish CEO that gets parts from India?

What could go wrong?

BTW, my mil-fag experts insist this pic was taken in Hollywood in 1949, not in Europe during WW2, because the uniforms and insig, and combo of guys wearing them, are all wrong and "impossible". Anyone shed more light on that?

you got a point. plus a wheelgun seems more 'Merican. Cowboys and fast draw show downs and all that.

maybe just require officers to buy their own as long as its 357.
>>
>>64467148
Just imho if you're gonna get the 17 grip you might as well get a 17 barrel. The 19x to me is something you buy if you're into specops larping or something.
>>
>>64467278
>maybe just require officers to buy their own
nah it's gotta be issued that's part of the appeal.
>>
>>64467010
i just dont understand how beretta hasn't figured out they're putting the safety in the wrong spot for 50 years
>>
>>64467293
It's not that hard to actuate the slide safety but I agree it never should have been there to start.

Also they've had models with a frame safety for years. Not many people seem to like it.
>>
>>64467205
>court martial
Wayyy too soft. There needs to be new laws on this shit, where retroactive court martials/removal of benefits of all officers involved, and for the companies who think their cute they should be forced to return ALL money gained from the transaction, and then be banned from all government contracts for 10 years after. If a company already has contracts they must continue to provide units, AT COST to the government until that contract ends. Start fucking these corporations up and watch how fast this shit stops.
>>
>>64467316
its not about how hard it is to hit its about how easy it is to hit unintentionally. despite the bulk of the slide there really isnt that much of it to grab. anything forwards of the serrations fuck you barrel was hot enjoy the burn. rear of serrations whoops hit the safety.
>>
>>64467082
Gas operated pistols are exceptionally rare.

shut the fuck up bitch, you don't know what you're talking about at all you fucking retarded little faggot.
>>
>>64467010
Yeah but because the correct choice is no service pistol, if you need something small carry a SMG or PDW.
>>
>>64467700
did you buy all the police trade ins you could due to the glock panic??
>>
>>64467260
Chrome + rubber is the obvious anti rust solution for the navy.
>>
>>64467010
the wrong choice was getting rid of the 1911 in the first place
>>
>>64467056
There was a brief period in WWI where they had a good deal of utility
Also, tunnel rats
>>
>>64468401
fair play
>>
Yeah
>>
>>64467700
Sir that's a pile of tupperware.
>>
>>64467229
Thay was berettas initial offer but the army said no even though it would be cheaper
>>
>>64467010
not with the info given at the time
sig should be sued for selling a faulty product and deceiving the us gov
>>
>>64467010
Yeah, they probably should have gone with the Glock.

>t. Don't even own a Glock.
>>
>>64467046
>SAAAR DO NOT REDEEM THE BERETTA SAAAAARR
>>
>>64467010
beige 92 with a rail was the only mistake
>>
>>64467700
Why do that to the kot?
>>
The Beretta is so hilariously superior it's not even funny.

THAT BEING SAID.

The Beretta optic system (not Langdon) kinda sucks ass.
>>
>>64467010
Nah beretta deserved to lose for the multiple shades of brown instead of picking a single color
