For the esoteric knower autists in here, what is the *correct* method of putting these back together?
I eventually managed to do it by

>securing the spring into the hub of the bottom disc, then hooking the spring to the pin in the top disc
>rotating the top 360° to tension the spring
>very awkwardly separating the top and bottom halves, and carefully rotating the top half further so that the dummy round (the one that serves to feed the last round into the action) is carried across the feed funnel gap, and rests in its position at the start of the column

THAT is where it would go wrong 99% of the time - when I separated the halves, the spring would unhook and fuck my fingers up, and I'd have to restart the whole process.
I was thinking this CAN'T be the correct process, and I could not for the love of God get the last mag reassembled, so to do finally do it I would eventually

>completely remove the dummy round and its retaining screw
>apply 360° of tension and a little bit more
>fumble with the dummy until I could reinsert it, its retaining screw and the leather straps used to rotate the top disc, all while holding the (tensioned) discs in place

I have the DP-27 manual and I've (unsuccessfully) scoured the Internet for any info on maintaining these mags, and I am honestly at a loss because there is no way the process is really this convoluted, considering these machine guns were handed to IQ 75 steppe children, so I'm curious as to what the official method is.

>Timestamp for the slide thread schizo.
A Russian shill working for their government could easily have access to a distraction DP-27 magazine, the partial tag on the shirt has suspiciously non English lettering, especially the 'E'.

We DEMAND a pic of the tag next to a non Soviet power outlet plus time stamp.

NATĔ--?

It could be imported, Russia isn't know for quality textiles. This thread is now about OP's shirt.

Anon what the fuck are you talking about?
Do you seriously think a conscript was issued a DP-27 with no instructions and then decided to ask 4chan of all places, instead of двaч?

Wait a minute... Just looked at a list of small arms being used in the war and while the DP isn't listed on the Russian side it is on the Ukie side.

The dual standard socket plus DP-27 indicates eastern Europe, the shirt lettering points at a Czech or adjacent nation.

It's a Czech open-bolt semi conversion.
I genuinely did not mean to leave the text visible lmao (it's "nátělník khaki" btw)
Anyway I REALLY am looking for answers to this question, it's one of the handful of times where the Internet failed me completely.
I could find videos of people field stripping the gun, even a handful where they stripped the mags, but NOT A SINGLE ONE where they put it back together.

Sorry about the random OSINT, your non Russian status is confirmed by your power outlet as well as not mentioning butt sex for at least four posts.

As to your problem i have no idea however there probably is a US translation of the original Soviet operators manual somewhere online in PDF format.

I do have the original operator's manual but the magazine section is... not all that helpful.

>>
>>64470626
>>64470554
The Ĕ and the fact that anyone posting a DP-27 probably had a legal semi auto got me down to 'Eastern Europe but not Cyrillic' then the socket really gave it away as 'nation that traded with both the USSR and France in the Cold War' so Czech seemed obvious.

>why would a yuropean use amerikanski date format though?
His English is excellent, a decent education in English would teach him that. Also It just might be habit from posting here.

Additional: The good condition of the weapon screams 'Warsaw Pact nation that got Post WW2 Soviet aid but never actually used it so it sat in storage' like those Albanian PSA Toks that were obviously never actually used.

Your double spacing automatically tells me that you need to GO. THE FUCK. BACK.
You don't speak for us you cum guzzling NAFOtroon clown - you fags are just as insufferable as the FSBitches and Putler shills.
If you were here on this board pre-war, and not a temporary tourist LARPing as a spook, you would have answered/ helped him out regardless since he's self evidently been tossed head first into the meat grinder with ancient gear and nil training.

I'm 100% sure these are not from our storage but rather traded with some other WarPact country that sat on them for the past 80 years, the vast majority of our surplus is long since gone.
In fact there are multiple Czech companies built on business agents traveling all over the third world Lord of War style, and bringing back shipping containers of surplus guns, because the demand is there.
Even got a bunch of StG-44s from Syria recently, but $15k is... a bridge too far for me.

Hahahaha incredible (understandable tho)
Glad I could help, sorry you had to do it the CBT way
I baked the four mags I got in the oven because they were full of cosmoline, so I kinda had no choice but to disassemble them afterwards

What do your mags have attached to the dummy round to rotate the disc, a wire loop or a leather strap?
Pretty much every single pic I found on the internet has a wire loop, but all of mine had leather, sounds like a WWII smekalka solution from before they actually started including the wire during manufacture
(IIRC early on during WWII there was nothing and machine gunners just used whatever piece of string they could find)

The only reason I took it apart in the first place is because it was having feeding issues and I notices some of the teeth inside were bent. It was the mag it came with.
I have 12 mags and all of them except 2 have a wire loop for a pull tab. The 2 didn't come with anything at all and were just the screw. I have never seen mags with a leather strap for sale in the US, although I think I'll try that with mine. Gotta be easier on the fingers.

Thanks, I'm assuming yours is closed bolt? How bad was the price?
Bent teeth seem like a commonplace problem with used mags, I had to straighten about a dozen of them in between of the four mags.

idk about this slavshit but I spent a week trying to reassemble a magpul ar drum. I managed to get it completely back together a couple times, but it would explode when you tried to load it. I eventually called fagpul to ask if they had instructions and got told that they weren't designed to ever have the spring removed.

Yeah, unfortunately closed bolt is our only option here for a semi-auto. Mine is made by Smith Manufacturing Group out of Texas, they cost about $4000 new. It's steep for what it is but the build quality is good and at least they give you a new chrome lined barrel.

Oh okay, *that* would definitely sting.
Then again it looks in excellent shape, and closed bolt has a lot more utility as an actual rifle.
