Is a ground war on the horizon?
>>

There's already several wars happening around the world.

I think it's trying to capture the covid zoomer audience that missed out on any comradery of high school or college when the boomers shut down everything for the coof.

Against who? Venezuela?
It would be political suicide.

Combat has changed tenfold since Ukraine began. You don't want to be a part of it.

>It would be political suicide.
Since when the fuck has that mattered in recent years?

1990s US invasion of Iraq was the last ground invasion.

From then on it's wars where decades of starvation leads to US just walking in (the next US invasion of Iraq) or using mercenaries to do the ground fighting (all the ISIS wars from libya to syria) or neo nazis in europe.

US is incapable of fighting a ground war now. It's not because they're all fat trannies, it's part of western deindustrialization efforts. First you get rid of the factory workers, and automate the factories. Now you get rid of the soldiers, and automate the wars.

Particularly at a time where we're more divided than ever.

GWOT was unique in that there was a unifying event that was burned into the brain of everyone that could remember.

Has it really been that long

That would matter if anyone running shit cared about consensus-building. I do not believe that is the case. I think, like most things that have happened this administration, things will get done, half the country will scream about it, and the other half will cheer it on, rightfully or wrongfully.

So he's gonna do it?

>"That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. It would be political suicide."
Every time, anon. This virtually guarantees it's a done deal.

>It would be political suicide
So it is unavoidable than.

Also: What's Maduro gonna do?

And why would Trump care?
Depending on which side of the fence you’re on he’s either not eligible for another term or he’s going to become king of America. Neither situation requires him to care about politics.

You seem to have forgotten all the anti-war rallies related to the invasion of Iraq. It’s going to be the exact same story. Half the country will protest the war, Maduro won’t last longer than a month in a fight and then everyone will go on a patriotic high after Trump announces mission accomplished.

in and out, 30 minute adventure

If it’s anything like Panama or Grenada it might as well be.

>Against who?
Bukake Haram in Nigeria.
Maduro in Venezuela.
Maybe cartels in Mexico.
