What are you playing /k/?
>>64480261Stalker 2
>>64480261Norf FC the game. Surprisingly good urban warfare.
Does Xcom count?
>>64480331>Blitzkrieg but with football hooligans instead of the Wehrmachthow is this even a real game
>>64480468The question is not how but why it is so fun.
>>64480438hell yea my nigga

>>64480261https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4ZpwC4GclI
>>64480261I've been trying to pass all Ready or Not missions in Hard mode and its pretty fucking wild how some missions are actually easier because enemies are turbo aggro and will suicide by cop by rushing you all at once and getting clapped instead of just ambushing you. Simply find a choke point and set your dudes to cover it and watch the bodies pile up.
I am desperately trying to enjoy Broken Arrow. The game is 80% russian fentanyl fantasy, but it's the only game where I get to ambush T72s with tank-hunting teams and clown on vatniks with the M10 Booker.
back to RDR2 for me, still got some of those little things about the guns that bother me but still the best game set in the west so far.
Rising Storm 2, Half Sword.
Highly recommend this.
I been tinkering...
>>64481182It's good until later in the game where you get thrown against literal walls of enemies. It just gets tedious to just sit through their turns.
>>64480261I got Ghost Recon Wildlands for $10. Destabilizing Bolivia is fun, but i wish it was first person without having to mod it. And war thunder because I'm retarded.
>>64481130I have an extreme hardon for going through the missions solo with some mods, didnt buy the game yet.PoliceActivity videos and team AI often sucking in R6 games may be a culprit. The early coding of squad mates just going into rooms in patterns while enemies being in their peripheral, just going off nodes, leading to a shitstorm.May sound gay on some level, and in compete disregard to multi-faceted early R6 games, but R6V2 GayvAss let me feel more in control of current happening as opposed to playing a map simulator with 3 squads of 5 simultaneously, which I understand my be a very gem and jam of such folk. But just being a lone officer to get called on some wild shit is exciting.>we should have shotguns for this kind of deal>we should have fucking shotguns
Advance Wars ReturnsIt's a very good rom hack.
>>64481498QRD?
Looking through stuff on my Steam wishlist that seemed interesting; any opinions on Doorkickers and Ground Branch respectively?
>>64481538Ground branch is fun. Good weapon customization and selection.
>>64481533It's a fan made Advance Wars game on GBA with all the units from Dual Strike. New story, new maps.
>>64480261Cultic Chapter 2, getting my asshole resized by it but man it's still fun getting chain headshots with the mare's leg amd downright pornographic to get 10+ guys with one dynamite
>>64480331>>64480468I fucking loved this game but it was tricky to get it to run even in 2007. But yeah, missions like "destroy the rival teams city as much as possible, fight back the police, and ambush their teams bus" were pretty awesome
>>64481477Trust me you cant do some levels solo flat out. You need a fixing team so the AI won't go SIKE on you and actually pin and flank you. Sometimes the teammates arent even enough. Hard mode is seriously about as hard as PvP shit but you're 5 underbudget cops vs a dickload of supersoldiers on meth.
>>64481538haven't played ground branch, first doorkickers had problems, task force north kind of half-fixed some, but did a lot more of the fuckhueg maps that were annoying. thankfully it also has a random mission generator to fuck around with that came out pretty good. there's some decent mods for it too.
>>64480261Been having a blast liberating Oshaune in helldivers 2
>>64480261any autist here play Foxhole? do you recommend? what's the learning curve like? what's the time investment like? will it destroy my life and end my bloodline?
>>64481190How is this? I played the original Madness Interactive 20 years ago like every other middle schooler, crazy people have kept it going so long.
>>64481861now i want to play endless wars again
Playing Metal Gear on the MSX. I don't know if it has a save function, so every time I die i just start from the beginning
>>64481877>solono>with a regimentmaybe. Issue is foxhole relies so very heavily on groups actually working together, but not in the arma sense of 'we have to take the point', im talking multiple days, if not weeks of constant effort to maybe see a small change on a frontline.
>>64480261I play Call of Duty Warzone. Not really /k/, but the armory unlocks for all the guns can be.
>>64481934nta but i didn't like the campaign much, but have over 100 hours in the arena mode.
>>64481944To save in MSXMetal Gear, you must use the "DATA SAVE" option found in the in-game menu after reaching a "continue point," such as entering an elevator. The game automatically creates these checkpoints, but manual saving is done through the pause menu by pressing F1 (to pause) and then F5 (to save).
>>64480261Project zomboid with guns of 93 mod
>>64481477>tfw every cold war game is soulless tacticool garbage in some way or another>None of them let you be an anti-terrorist operator with a massive flashlight literally taped to his MP5
>>64482076Hello fellow PZ enjoyer. I haven't played in a few weeks, but was on a big binge with the week one mod. It was basically a SHTF simulator, pretty fun. My game turned out to where Zombies were actually pretty rare, at least after the nuke but there were tons of bandits.
I'm starting to REALLY enjoy arma reforger a lot recently, mostly because I really like making themed loadouts. I've done an 83 era ranger on a modern tacishit server, XOF larp, a couple default basic bitch US army riflemen kits from GWOT and modern eras, I did an arma 3 FIA kit and spoke shitty greek while everyone was just very confused at me, one of my favourites was a kit I made to emulate the german spec ops cunts pretending I was on that mission to assassinate the german pm, ended up having to give a history class on it to some very drunk blokes on the server. I had another where I was dressed up in OG greenos with a tavor, fairly easy to guess what I was doing that got me temp banned. Most times I just use a 'be all end all' loadout but the amount of HUD shit you have on screen just makes me pretend I'm on some random backfuck world in the BattleTech universe that's having a civil war who's equipment is VERY VERY close to the early 21st century. Reforgers fun, 1.6 made it even funner with the roles and commander mode imo. Logi is far more crucial to games I find now.
>>64481877The actual combat isn't great so it really depends on how much you enjoy driving trucks and managing warehouses. Think Forklift Simulator except there are people shooting at you.
>>64481861>they have a melee attack nowPretty cool, might pick it upDid they change the control scheme so that you can click and drag a path without having to redraw the whole thing? The original was clearly designed for mobile first
>>64481944Get a GBA emulator and play Ghost Babel, it's unironically greatMG2 is also a big step up from MG1, and it's more or less a remake
I've been playing gunner heat pc every so often
>>64481877If you don't have friends it kind of blows but you can have fun just dropping into the hottest warzone you can find and getting those schweet schweet kills or doing other funny shit like suicide rushes with bombs.
>>64481473>Ghost Recon Wildlandsunderrated
>>64482169Only thing I'm interested in hearing about Arma Reforger is the logistics side of things. Meal Team Six larp isn't that fun to me.
>>64480261close combat the russian frontit is fucking brilliant was recommended here
>>64481667Not him but I've soloed all missions in ready or not except the newest dlc since I didn't buy it. The whole censorship debacle made me think fuck it. Maybe if it goes on sale for 2 dollars.Just start up a multiplayer friends only lobby and have no friends. Some of them were bitches but doable.
replaying MGSV, I actually kinda like the frankenguns honestly
>>64481329You're supposed to have superpowers and fully pimped out weapons to clear half a dozen per turn.
>>64482076>still early access after almost 15 yearsI hope Lemmy dies a painful death and someone competent takes over
>>64484603Then you'll be glad to hear they're trying to turn it into Foxhole 2.0. Recent update added a new Conflict variant and everyone hates it because it's way too autistic and you can't just fuck off and do your own thing.
>>64484772>way too autistic and you can't just fuck off and do your own thing. You absolutely can, the only incentive to follow the commander is getting more rank otherwise nothing is stopping you from doing whatevs. Biggest change is the freeform building which has to be approved by the cmd which means if you have a shit one it's basically GG.
>>64481167I tried watching a speedrun of this thing once. It was 14 hours, and no matter where I skipped to, what I saw was either the player walking, or riding on a horse. One 30 minute section was just riding in a hot air balloon. I was turned off so hard from ever playing the game.
>>64484785>if you have a shit one it's basically GGWhich is what more of the complaints were about too
>>64481548Oooh, sick.
>>64482753You can make changes to the middle of an existing path without terminating the whole path, so long as you route the path back to join up with the section you want to keep.
>>64484765Good news! Multiple competent people are actually taking over http://projectzomboid.com/blog/news/2025/10/since-last-we-spoke/(Lemmy is still alive though)
>>64481861I've been having some fun playing DK2 with the Halo ODST faction mod. It comes with a Spartan, which is OP, but fun. He insta-gibs anyone he melees, can see behind himself because of the motion tracker, kicks through locked doors without delay, and you can even make him punch through walls.
>>64484727It's such an unfinished game, though.
>>64481667You can do anything, lol. Use the deagle with a shield. >>64484628They didn't add hard mode until that update. I also didn't play it, though. The devs fucked up.
>>64481473The game is balanced around you being able to see over cover. FPS isn't right for it.
>>64481861I really wish the devs let you control the characters with WASD + mouse as an option as a top-down shooter.
>>64484906You wouldn't be able to react fast enough to last a mission by doing that. But, you can sort of do it already by right clicking and dragging on a trooper to move their aim around while they move along a path. They'll fire automatically at what they see.You can also manually fire with right click and drag + alt key, although that's more of a testing feature the devs were kind enough to leave in.
>>64482076god i love that game, i haven't tried that mod yet, thanks
>>64481473Occasionally I go back to war thunder just to dunk on cas players with spaa
>>64484772>>64484785From what I have read there's a lot of butthurt over not being able to waste fuckton of supplies on retard loadouts and fuck over you team apparently?
A little cringy at times but this game ended up being a really fun sharpshooter game. Much more so than sniper elite imo
>>64485001They added "MSAR" basically your allowance for how much your custom kit can cost on respawn. It's a non issue since you can now spawn with preset loadouts that has all the expensive stuff. It really only affects the rambos who need to carry 2 guns at all times.
>>64485024Which one is it?WHICH IS IT?I YEARN FOR A PROPER SNIPER ELITE SPINOFF.Oh wait, I found it.
>>64485049Oops, forgot pic. But you're right. Only problem with it is the content is a little limited
>>64485055the game would be much better if they opened up a mod toolkit for maps/missions. easiest possible win for them to snag if they do a third, and would help deal with the content being kind of limited
>>64484799GTA speedruns are similarly shit. games great
Arma 3 is my favorite /k/ game.
>>64481473Wildlands was fun. I really liked all of the outfit and weapon customization too, I eventually just devolved into making various replicas of real world or other fiction setups and trying to play with them, i.e. Gulf War with chocolate chip BDUs + ironisight/203 M16, Falkalands with DPM and a FAL, and so on. Shame Breakpoint was so much less grounded and less customizable.
>>64480261>What are you playing /k/?I've been playing the perfect hyper-indie /k/ game for months. It's got a map creator, bots, a very productive dev who drops new maps and campaigns frequently and speaks directly to the player base every single day, the works. It's fucking perfect and has infinite replay value. And I'll never tell you what it is because you dumb cunts would ruin it.
>>64481473>>64485285I had a ton of fun with Wildlands but the AI is trash at high difficulties. Getting one-tapped at 200m by a cokehead dual-wielding MAC-10s because he can somehow detect you through cover fucking stinks.Breakpoint sucked ass at launch, but it's pretty decent now. Fun to play with buddies.
>>64481329I didn't mind it, you can speed up the enemies turns. But also what this guy >>64484749 said. My mele guys alone can take out 4 people at once. The trick is not to get sucked into making every guy a sniper, where yeah you'll get a kill every round with each sniper but with other weapons/skill combos you can make cqb type guys with smgs/shotguns/melee and they take out whole groups on their own, or even go for low ap cost rifles.
>>64480261I suck ass at this game. Can never get the divs down right.
>>64484926>You wouldn't be able to react fast enoughSo the game has superhuman characters or something?
>>64480267me tooits both very good and jankyi just cant stop playingi just wish the dnipro had a stadimetric scopecaptcha : akk2m

>>64485302Its either intravenous, easy red 2 or bad
>>64485302Based
>>64482076Build 42 has made this an extremely comfy game.
>>64485960I like to run around breakpoint kitted out as a HECU or HUNK from resident evil or just try to make something dumb like rolento from final fight, only use knife and explosives. breddy fun
>>64482076Want to try this game but the UI looks like dogshit and the only survival game I can play is Minecraft.
>>64486324What looks bad about the UI to you? I've got no complaints.
>>64486034is superior firepower still shit?
>>64480261

>>64486682>You're in my spot, sir
Friend bought me the division and we plan to buy BF6 when it (hopefully) goes on sale for black Friday $70 for games suck
>>64486047Almost everyone you fight reacts at human speeds. Around 200ms. There's some jihadi retard enemies who take half a second to fight back, though. Your own troopers react at near superhuman speed (sub 150ms) to counter them because they're such elite boys. For you to just run in and try to play it like Hotline Miami would be a bit of a crapshoot. I suppose you could play strategically with flashbangs, nades, smoke and spray and pray to keep up.
>>64482800Ah, the beautiful Leopard 1 tonk. Such a pretty tank, but paper thin armor.
>>64484727If you're playing it on PC, there is a mod that replaces every single gun for a real-world counterpart.
>>64485055I wish this game had the sort of hand-holding that Sniper Elite has in the easiest difficulty settings. I'm too retarded to figure out the windage and bullet drop mechanics
>>64486717It does.
>>64485960>Breakpoint sucked ass at launch, but it's pretty decent now.Yes, Breakpoint has become breedy good after they added back in Wildlands' gameplay style. That's the only way I play it now. I wish it had more guns and tactical gear like Wildlands did tho. And also that the NPCs actually went about their daily routines like they did in Wildlands, eating, sleeping, pissing, etc.
>>64486721It does? When did they add that in?
>>64486728I don't know. I just remember there being options to have your bullets fly straight, and various skill points to make you better at shooting.
>>64486725They seriously need to just make it offline already. People would come flooding in.
>>64480261RS2 vietnam
>>64486699the division is a lot of fun, second one is fun too just worse vibes because its not NYC during christmas.
I'm giving life as a slav a chance
>>64484607I played that a lot. The opening theme is from Bruckner. Check it out around 34:00https://youtu.be/fkZk9kk3sZk
>>64486770Honestly not sure how to feel about it. Kinda of odd that there weren't too many main story missions and you had to level up between them with a million side quests. I like games for their stories rather than any post game content which is the "real" part of the game
>>64486760yup... its Hunt for Ho Chi Minh time again
>>64486699I'm just hoping BF6 gets to the point where it's even worth the $60 that most games cost. It's got a solid foundation but the maps fucking blow. I got my copy for free and it's been somewhat enjoyable but definitely not enough to justify the price, hoping it goes like BF4 and they actually respond well to feedback with the DLCs and updates because I think it could be pretty great with decent maps.
>>64486760>>64486852This just reminds me of how badly I want a good SOG game that isn't the autismfest that is ARMA 3. I've been listening to John Stryker Meyer's SOGcast on my commute and there was so fucking much kino and absolute baddassery, and just in general shit that's closer to vidya situations than probably any other real warfare in history, and yet somehow it's been pretty much ignored by game devs outside the milsim world. I feel like a COD-style campaign with modern COD production values, but without all the retardation that has infected COD in the last decade or so, could be amazing, and even better if they had a co-op feature. (It'd be perfect for small groups, make the 2-3 Americans on the team players and have the indig forces be AI.)
>>64486539>buying a steam copy of a free flash gameOn the one hand, that game is certified cool. On the other, why?
>>64480261i have been introduced to receiver 2, i am not playing it myself but it's good background noise and i get to talk about gun trivia while they play and go through the weird gun selection
>>64486699>>64486865It’s fun, and the bugs and challenge issues have been sorted out. If you’ve been waiting, go ahead. >>>/wsg/6015843
>>64486706>flashbangs, nades, smokewell naturally.
>>64487195But there's still the problem of how these maps are made to kill lone troopers. So many t-sections and wide areas with too many enemies to kill before one shoots you. I'd expect you to get shot in the back a lot.
>>64480261Tarkov, ofc. Currently slacking off in PvE while waiting for some kind of anti-cheater solution to roll out on release. Shit's ridiculous in PvP.I supplement with some Warzone with the boiz about once a week, and maybe some HD2 when I can be assed to speak English for a few hours.>>64481861DK2 is awesome. It lives in my "puzzles to chill at night" folder for when I'm in on my laptop in the middle of a slow night shift.>>64485049>>64485055Did they add any new opposing faction except "thinly disguised Russians" or is this Butthurt Polack Power Fantasy: The Game: Part 6?>>64486744But then how are they going to shut it down to force you to buy a new sequel when they release it?>tfw they murdered Splinter Cell for this
>>64486892it's still on newgrounds
>>64486881Sucks to be you, jungle firefights with realistic ballistics are batshit insane. (makes me cum)
>>64480267>>64486054STALKER 2 sucks ass. There's not a single redeemable thing about that garbage. The OG trilogy and their mountain of mods > this garbage.
>>64483552Flanking a enemy tank with sticky bombs and hearing the crew panic in local voice chat is probably the most fun you can have in the game.
I want to play dayz and rust but im windows 8 masterrace and cant use steam. What similar games exist?
>>64480261Fucking jewbisoft won't do a proper remaster of OG R6 even though it's a real bitch to try to get run those games on modern computers.Raven Shield can be ran just fine, getting anything earlier to work is suffering.
>>64488173Considering the strife Ubisoft is in, you'd think they would have broken the emergency glass and started pumping out remakes like Sony and Microsoft are doing. It's a cheap way to get some money for minimal investment.
>>64481477>open SWAT 4's in-game custom mission maker>choose "Lone Wolf">create your scenario>put suspects on the map. 11-12 armed guys usually is optimal, more (or give them better weapons) if you want more challenge>raise the suspects' morale to the highest level so they won't surrender as easily>go for a "M1911 only" challenge. "M1911 and fists" if you're playing the add-on/SEFNow we're fucking talking. Ready or Not devs should really consider implementing the in-game mission maker into their game. It does wonders for the game longevity. Giving an opportunity to recreate an action scene you saw in a crime show/movie or maybe even a real life SWAT raid you saw on the news is peak fun.
>>64488208I prefer non lethal runs in SWAT4 by using 9mm.
>>64488237>9mm>non-lethalAre you kneecapping everyone or something?
>>64488161You can use Steam. You can also pirate all those games. That being said, you should instead play something GOOD, such as STALKER. That practically spawned the entire sub-genre.Play in release order, as vanilla first as possible, on highest difficulty. Then look into the sea of mods people have made the past 18 years. There's even shitton of freeroam-sandbox mods that should scratch the DayZ / Tarkov itch.
>>64488284NTA but armor-piercing rounds used against unarmored targets (and vice versa) leave you with a higher chance of bringing a suspect down non-lethally. Even if not in the toppest physical condition. That's the trick I've been using at least. It's not a 100% guarantee and can be pretty risky though
>>64488284>>64488306Its actually a glitch where if you use a 9mm handgun with FMJ and headshot someone it counts as incapacitating rather than killing them.
>>64488284I remember doing that a few times when first playing, and I was playing on Easy so I could get away with that kind of excessive force.I also once remember the stem cell lab mission, there were two guys left and I catch them running down the stairs in the lobby, I shoot at them with my Colt Python, manage to hit the guy in the front in the head, he dies immediately, and the .357 FMJ comes out the other side, hitting his pal in the chest, and he's immediately incapped.Wished I could twirl and holster that Colt like Alex J. Murphy.>>64488343Sure that's a glitch? I think I've gotten incaps with headshots on occasion with other weapons, like with stray buckshot.
btw, by excessive force I mean the suspect fleeing, so I go "Ahah!" and Glock them in the shins a few time so they stumble over and incap. Can you imagine a cop doing that IRL?
>>64487241>lone troopersYou can still pre-program teammates, I didn't mean lonewolfing with KBM. Imagine SWAT 4 squad control with this.
>>644884229mm FMJ to the head is the only consistent way to do it without it turning into Kurt Cobain mode.
>>64488756That might just be a result of the stats of things in question, a quirk of design, rather than a bug.
>>64488293Thanks friend, it looks good, I'll probably get it soon.I've played modded fallout new vegas for many years and have been thinking about more winter-like environments lately, maybe involving some sort of atomic aspects.
