A 300mm high-velocity rotary cannon on the starboard side pointing forward, just a few degrees of windage on the mount. Fourteen twin 600mm mortars on the port side, mounted in seven groups of two (super-firing)

>>64480401By doubling up each system including power generation, propulsion (electrical), distribution, electronics and so on my design will have built in redundacies that will look very impressive to the review board, but the complicated combining gears that make the whole thing functional will be deliberately just a bit shitty so they break down and I can cash in on repair and maintenance contracts. Every sentence in the pitch will include the word "robust" at least once, potentially twice. Everything will of course be propriatary so they can't fix it themselves and have to hire my 3rd party contractors to repair things.The weapons will be some kind of electrically wdriven guns like gauss or rail guns. They will all be dual purpose and there will be plenty of CIWS so we can pretend that this thing can protect itself from missiles.The battleship will go heavy on automation, with plenty of 80s style processes, but the machines will lack the heavy safety factors that made the whole thing function. They ought to last for a few months at least so that by the time things start breaking down it'll be too late to switch and they'll have to pay me more to repair it.The ship will contain a floodable deck where it will host the cheapest Chinese drones I can get my hands on and then rebrand as an American product. We'll change the hull so they look completely different. This will fuck up the hydrodinamics, but that's not my problem.The ship will have a theoretical range of maybe 5k-10k miles, but in reality they will have to rip out half the fuel tanks and replace them with missiles to make this thing not completely fucking useless at some point.That's right about the basics, there's lots of room to build upon it further as the demands on the Navy evolve.
Literally just scale up the Excalibur round to whatever caliber you want and give the fuze a time delay to explode inside a target. Pin-point accurate artillery shells would rape modern ships, especially of you fire entire salvos of them, of you can get in reach at least.
12 inch guns with electrochemical ignition and very long barrels to maximize velocity, which can just load GBU-12s into sabots and shoot them 50-70 km. Have an small air wing of UAVs and F35Bs to provide terminal guidance with laser designators.
