Charters have more hand assembly so they are more likely to have minor fitment issues, but Smith is more likely to have manufacturing issues due to their crappy QC. Charter has one of the best warranties and you can pretty much call up charter to buy any part so if you decide to change out the spur hammer for a bobbed hammer or you want to put in a steel grip frame to make it heavier, you can just call them and order the part which is kinda neat. Charter claims to have a stronger frame than Smith and fewer parts. In my experience, they have better timing and lockup than Smith out of the box if you get one that doesn't have those fitment issues I mentioned. Charter's 5 round Undercover/6 round Undercoverette is supposed to be smaller than a J frame too. I only have experience with Smith J frames, their L frames are probably better made, but charter doesn't really make an L frame equivalent. The closest is probably their Professional which is most similar to a K frame.

Straight wall cases stretch out very little so as long as you arent pushing max loads, they should last a long time with nothing but occasional trimming if you are just going to make target loads. Annealing is for bottleneck rounds for work hardened brass like the case mouth that gets crimped over and over or the neck that gets sized over and over. It's easier to just trim off the work hardened part of the case mouth for straight wall and have slightly shorter brass. 44 special, like my baby, 38 special is much longer than it needs to be and a slightly shorter case won't matter for target loads. Use new or at least full length brass for hot loads.

Ugh. My OEM pocket holster is falling apart, as is my Hogue grip. No one sells the OEM holster. I know it works. It's $22 on eBay or $13 from Ruger with $6 shipping. If I get the grip from them it's $2 extra shipping but still $1 cheaper than if I buy the grip from amazon. To get free shipping I got to spend another $44 bucks. They want $43 for a spare 7 round mag. It's way too much and it still doesn't put me over $75. I've looked through the site and everything looks like shit. It's there anything I didn't think of? I'm just stuck paying shipping because that's the only holster I know doesn't come out of the pocket with the gun. I thought about trying the desantis nemesis, but the Amazon store doesn't seem to have the right model for the lcp2 so I'd be paying shipping anyway. Bought this used Tisas 1911 from a LGS I frequent for $250 OTD. Hopefully it’s not garbage, I detail disassembled it and everything looked okay.

There's a reason they're the hot shit and RIA is almost forgotten about. The metal is weak, the extractor is easy to bend - probably replace it with a quality one if you have any issues.
