Russia.
>>
>>64533188
>turns out it's completely useless against literally any kind of aircraft or munition

elaborate when it was killed by anything other than drones
>>
>>64533188
if they were useless they would be all gone by now with video evidence of their destruction and deep air raids
in reality you still have low level popup attacks with glide bombs near the frontline to avoid being up high for more than tens of seconds
also how many successful attacks on rostov, a key logistics hub have happened?
>>
>>64533250
Wasn't there a video of Storm Shadows merrily passing overhead a battery when Ukraine was disassembling Sevastopol?
>>
Somebody got the gotland scenario and s400
>>
>>64533254
Im inclined to agree with this guy.
Sure russian tech is dogshit, no questions asked.
But if they were compeltly useless Ukies would have air supperiority by now.
>Russian MOD had to replace S400 Systems with a line of mobiks with Iglas that span the entirty of the front
>>
>>64533254
Yeah pretty much, Russians are dogshit but I expect their AD to at least be worth their salt enough were it is capable of posing a serious threat to Western airpower.
It's a MAD thing where both sides will degrade eachother so much that nothing will occur. Same for the chinks and their wunderwaffe shit. It's all deterrence based on the fact that fighting means leaving the rest of the world open to the uninvolved parties.
>>
>>64533250
>ATACMS has whacked two or three batteries of S-400 on camera
>There's a video of Storm Shadow flying past an active S-400 battery filmed by a Russian air defense cuckold
>A Neptune or Flamingo missile whacked the battery in Novorossiysk
"Only drones"
>>
Hasn't one of more of them been blown up by Israeli jets or were those just S-300s?
>>
>>64533250
So what you're telling me is russian AD can't shoot down a cessna full of dynamite.
>>
>>64533373
Or a rocket full of dynamite, at least no one has dropped an anvil on one, yet
>>
>>64533337
>Russians are dogshit but I expect their AD to at least be worth their salt enough were it is capable of posing a serious threat to Western airpower.
Western airpower routinely disassembles both soviet era and modern russian IADS whenever the need arises. (Inb4 muh monke models) It didn't save Iran, Iraq, Serbia or any other shithole that fell for the soviet AD meme.
>>
>>64533250
>elaborate when it was killed by anything other than drones
Anon, the point of ground-to-air defense ain't to survive air strikes, it's to prevent them from taking places.
>>
>>64533470
>It didn't save Iran, Iraq, Serbia
Because they were completely overwhelmed by the amount of planes used against them and planning available. I would expect near-peer AD (Russia) and peer-AD (chinks) to be significantly more difficult to beat.
>>
>>64533260
that's by design, the air defense cuckold only observes

Some things do not change.

Whoever bought this fell for 'Russia claims', i.e. lies.
>>
>>64533188
>turns out it's completely useless against literally any kind of aircraft or munition
Incorrect. The S-300/400 and Russian AD systems in general are excellent at converting civilian airliners and allied aircraft into wreckage.
>>
>>64533373
They were flying too low and didn't bother to hide.
S-400 is only for amerikansky stealth bombers flying near the stratosphere.
Please understand.
>>
>>64533548
>Because they were completely overwhelmed by the amount of planes used against them and planning available
Israel only has 45 F-35s. I wouldn't be surprised if they only used a third or so of them to completely destroy Iran's air defense. If an entire nation's air defense network can get "completely overwhelmed" by 15 fighters, what the fuck will Russia or China do against 1300?
>>
>>64533870
It does have an effective kill record against A-50s, I'll grant it that.
>>
>>64533250
There was a hit on a S-400 battery in Crimea by a S-125 missile converted to surface-to-surface.
>>
>>64533254
Russia does still have an air force you know
>>
>>64533889
I don’t think 1300 in total will be going up against them since the US doesn’t have that many yet. That total is also spread to allies so numbers will differ depending on where a conflict occurs. Super Bugs are still going to be the primary fighter used against China
>>
>>64533250
They've been killed by drones, storm shadows, flamingoes, ATACMs, Excalibur, JDAMs, and basically every other precision guided munition that exists.
>>
>>64535399
The US has over 1000 delivered and allies have lots of them as well. Japan alone has nearly 100. That's compared to fewer than 500 Super Hornets in service anywhere.

Almost certainly, given the number of HARMs Ukraine was given and the fact that we know they work.

Does Russia know?
>>
>>64535605
but i wanna see it
*pout*
>>
>>64535237
and? they can't afford to fly CAP or AEW missions 24/7, it's the air defense sitting 50-100km away from the frontline that's the persistent problem
>>
>>64533188
>>$1.5 billion per battery
Why would a nation just not develop their own AD system at this point. A single battery is barely anything only 6 to 12 launchers.
>>
>>64533260
>>
>Russian equipment is absolutely garbage

Kinda the whole reason this war is the way it is
>>

(You) might have mentioned the extensive amount of sabotage on the ground prior to the planes arriving, had (You) aktshully been /k/ and not a tourist who didn't pay attention when it Happened.

> "near peer"
ohfuckingcringe

>>64533889
Powerful case for what 15 x F-35s can accomplish. That said, there was a bit more air power plus intelligence plus satellite data (in addition to the sabotage) involved.

And now orange fucktard is giving them away to Saudi Arabia and other sandnigger nations in exchange for rights to build hotels and resorts. What a fucking timeline we live in. What could EVER go wrong?

You should call Raytheon and demand they put a camera in the nose of all of their missiles so we can get epic killcams.

>they were completely overwhelmed by the amount
That's completely false, that's not how low observable aircraft operates against ground based AD, you'd see a shitton of losses if they used mass to overwhelm the launchers, think about it for a second.
What happens is that stealth decreases the effective range at which ground based AD can operate to a short enough range where they can be hit safely by precision guided munitions, it's pretty much a mathematical certainty that ground based AD loses to low observable aircraft, the number of systems in relation to each other matter very little.
