I bought these a few years back for cheap because allegedly no one wanted to buy them. The cases say “.45 Super” took these to the range the other day and shot a few out my USP. they made a fire ball bigger than my head And kicked like a mule. Am I lucky to be alive? Any one have experience with this ammo or other high velocity pistol ammo?

>>64535255It's fine. That's an unusual load for .45 Super, but chasing high FPS with ultralight bullets is fun. USPs are rated for .45 Super out of the box, swap in a set of 20lb recoil springs from Wolf if you plan on shooting a lot of heavy .45 super loads to make it more comfortable to shoot. Most. 45 super loads are along the lines of 230-255gr running 1200-1300 FPS, not quite a as zippy as those but making comparable muzzle energy. Hopefully this will get you started down the road of hotrodding .45s, it's way more fun than it has any right to be.
>>64535779^thisI run underwood 180gr jhp out of my g21. It's rated at 1300fps and 694ft/lbs. I would also recommend swapping to a 20lb spring.
>>64535255>supersounds like fudd ammo
>>64535255The USP .45 is the only production gun that, without modification, can shoot .45 Super. The box being marked ".45 ACP" is dangerous though.Picrel, my LWA G21"L" that has a 24# recoil spring and fully supported chamber. Built for .45 Super. But I haven't hand loaded for it yet, just shot it with a 20# spring and normal .45 Auto.
>>64538327.45 Super puts COTS 10mm to shame, except Buffalo Bore and Underwood 10mm.
>>64535267>What is low recoil and Cast Fireball?
>>64538348Based longboi appreciator. NGL, I'm jelly. I really wanted to build my .45 super 21 into a longboi. But it was the height of the pandemic and I couldn't find a slide for the life of me. So I settled on a comp as cope. I'm running a 21lb or 22lb rsa in mine.
>>64544809>find a slide for the life of meMine was made to order. Definitely not an off the shelf piece of hardware haha.
>>64544830Iirc Lone Wolf was taking orders at the time but the lead time was like 6 months. I didn't have the patience to wait. So I went with an oem slide with a compd kkm barrel.
>>64544901>lead time was like 6 months. I didn't have the patience to waitMine was 4 months. Worth being patient. I'd have waited 9 months. By the time inflation goes up, it'll technically be cheaper to future me.

>>64535779>USPs are rated for .45 Super out of the boxNo they're not. They work, but it's not rated for it. There is literally not a single production handgun actually made for .45 super. It is not standardized by anyone. It doesn't mean anything. It's just a thicker .45 ACP case people cram more powder in. There is not a single production pistol "rated" for it, since there is no rating for .45 super in the first place.
>>64535315its not the 2000s anymore man. using twitter is normal and everyone plays videogames. you are willingly becoming out of touch and that doesnt make you more intelligent.
>>64535255The upper limit for the human wrist is 44Mag. All handgun ammo cabale of cavitation other than the 44 is either a tiny calibre or shit to shoot. All other handguns poke holes, some slighly larger than others and nearly all with enough power to reach vital organs. There is no real difference in terminal ballistics between a colt 1960 army made in the mid 19th century and a glock 9mm made in the 21st
>>64545784>calibrejust shut the fuck up
