SKS with some aftermarket stock. Not an AK like the bitch on the TV told you. Originally a soviet rifle, it was manufactured in large quantities in pretty much every former communist country, some of which continued to use it up to the 80s and 90s, even though it was arguably outdated and outclassed by the time the AK47 reached high levels of production in the mid 1950s.
Pictured here is what it might have looked like before someone removed the wood stock and hardguard to replace it with that ugly green plastic/fiberglass shit. This particular model also has some sort of adapter to fig a bigger magazine, probably an AK mag by the looks of it.

I'm not him but I know a thing or two about whiskey.
It's hard to give any recommendations without knowing three main factors.
1. How much are you willing to spend?
2. Do you like your whiskey smokey? And if so, how smokey?
3. Is it even available in your location?

Generally speaking, Japanese whiskey is really similar to Scotch whiskey.
The main difference to the customer is that the entry level Japanese stuff tends to be higher quality and higher priced than the cheapest shit the Scots mass produce for export.
>>
>>64536914
I'd suggest suntory toki if you're looking for cheap, it's decent it general, different enough to be noticeable compared to most western whiskeys.

I wouldn't say they are. Just like there is American scotch. There's a couple of distilleries here in the US that make single malt's.
All scotch is whiskey, not all whiskey is scotch
All bourbon is whiskey, not all whiskey is bourbon
Don't even get me started on the five types of Scotch.

tl;dr - it's all subjective, but they're all great if done right. My fav scotch is Glenmorangie Nectar d'or.

>>64538442
>Only Canadians...
JP Wiser is ok. Royal Canadian is strangely not a bad sipper at how cheap it is. Crown Royal anything is pretty much shit, with three exceptions. First is picrel. The only made it for one year and is basically a bourbon by American standard. At around $65 a fifth, I'd say it was priced about $15 more than it should have been. It is a fantastic pour though and I wish I could find some NOS within 10 miles. Second is the XR line. Ive never had a chance to try the XR from the Waterloo distillery, but the LaSalle wasn't bad.
Third, I honestly prefer the XO over the blue XR.
>>
>>64538658
I don't compare bourbon and whisky, even though bourbon is technically a type of whisky. I give bourbon its own special category where it only competes against other bourbons.

I've tried 2 different Japanese whiskys and they were both mediocre, about on par with shitty Crown Royal.

>This particular model also has some sort of adapter to fig a bigger magazine, probably an AK mag by the looks of it.
Duckbill aftermarket mags were a big thing back when an sks was $100 or $200. The main reason people changed the stocks was so they could use them and maintain 922r parts compliance.
>>
>>64538761
is that his democrat tattoo?
>>
>>64538958
So my buddy had an SKS in an aftermarket stock with no magazine. We bought one of these duckbill mags and installed it. Gun works fine, but it seems impossible to remove without disassembling the gun and we've just been feeding it through the top with clips anyway.

>>64539174

The SKS wasn't designed with detachable magazines in mind, so the bolt is sort of shaped like an Ɪ, so the lower portion fits between the feed lips. On the chinese rifles meant for AK mags, they shaved that bottom portion of the bolt so mags could be removed without locking the bolt to the rear. It was common for bubbas to do the same in the tapco era, too.

Yeah that's what I thought, I'm thinking it's probably got something to do with the stock it's in. It doesn't look like the usual tapco/ati things and has a black triangle folding stock. But considering we went from a gun with no mag to one that at least works for like 20 bucks, it's alright. It's a shame it's in the fucking thing in the first place though as it's a Russian gun, receiver is marked 1953.

>>64542161
Hmm. im wondering if we put it in wrong or something, but even still it functions perfectly, we probably put 200 rounds through it after installing it. Also I've been reluctant to try to apply much force to it to try to get it out because I figure it works and it's a 30rnd mag that we load with clips which is better than a 10 rounder loaded with clips. At least for practical purposes. Also for what it's worth he did say at one point it had detachable mags that did not have the duckbill thing that worked fine that he's since lost, but I figured since it's a Russian gun it wouldn't be ak mags. Could a previous owner have had the gun converted to take ak mags? And if so would it make sense that the duckbill we put in it still works?
>>
>>64542310
It's a somewhat involved conversion to take ak mags, you wouldn't be able to get a duckbill in if it was converted in the style I'm familiar with. If it's working as a fixed mag you're probably right not to mess with it.

I've lived in Detroit for 30 years. I think I've only met like 2 white people that drink cognac on a regular basis. 99.9% of cognac drinkers here are niggers. On very rare occasions I'll drink Dusse. That's the only cognac I find palatable.
Another great entry level bourbon I'd recommend is Early Times bottled in bond. It's the only sub-$25 pour I'd recommend. Problem is that's it's not easy to find.
