You can choose any air force and any time in history. You must build an air force entirely comprised of prototypes that never entered production. They have to form a comprehensive aerial fighting force that would have been relevant to the time period. You could also shoe in aircraft that were technically mass produced but in tiny irrelevant quantities, like replacing the B-29 for the B-32 for example. My personal fantasy Airforce is the early 1960s US air force. I want XF-85 goblins as my frontline fighter, XF-84 thunderscreech as my attack aircraft, Convair XFY and my interceptor, and YB-49s as my strategic bomber.
I choose late 1940s US Airforce and Vought XF5U for every role.
>>64540525Whatever gives us SLAM and ORION. So I guess about 1950.
Richtofen survives ww1, becomes Reichsmarshall, and the entire luftwaffe has these by 1939.

>>64541265Pretty much yes. I chose those because:The Pyörremyrsky fixes some issues on the 109. It is no longer cramped, it has a wide undercarrige so it is easier to land and it is bigger so engine, colling circuit, weapon installment and upgrading is easier. The main reason I chose it is because it isnmade of spruce, so the machine isn't as big of a drain on strategic resources. It is also more maneuverable than the 109 but I consider that a bonus. And the Ta-152 C was supposed to be a direct follow up to the Fw-190 A but it couldn't be done because the DB603 engine wasn't available (propably because it was going to the production of the Me-2/3/410 deathtrap). I do have Issues with the Ta-152 C so I would get Focke Wulf to fix them.
The interwar era is a gold mine of goofy ass prototypes. So many planes I didn't have any idea existed before.
>>64541925Seamaster and Sea Dart should have replaced every US aircraft. They did exactly what they were supposed to do. They were political casualties. >B-but muh corrosionShut up.

>>64540793The entire Luftwaffe has ceased to exist by 1941 because nobody left is willing to strap themselves into that death trap.
>>64540525I'd go with the RAF and USAAF from 1945 onwards, but the jet engine proved to be a dead end and was abandoned

>>64540525Peron survives 1955 military coup. Pulqui II (Ta-183 descendant) enters mass production circa 1956-58. This and the historical Gloster Meteor force gives you a pretty solid air force.Bonus track: Some potential air forces it might have been exported to based on Peronist political alignmentIIRC only five prototypes were built and one unit served on the airforce. Argentina acquired F-86 Sabres instead post-Peron.
