I thought you might want to know that my new muzzle brake takes away most of the recoil on the WristWrecker5000...I might actually be able to one-hand this gun nowhttps://youtu.be/av4KQTR9FN8Just felt like this was in some way a /k/ project, so I should inform you guys...
>>64549008Yeah.[Thumbs up emoji]This is cool, KrautAnon.
>>64549008Yeah
Did you only bring two rounds to the range? Why didn't you shoot it by hand afterwards?
>>64549008mega based
>>64549078I had 3 shots with me but after the first shot I forgot to measure the distance (also one shot is like 15€ each)...I didn't have a lot of time and renting the whole range is kinda expensive... But mostly I wanted to analyze the video footage and take my time with the decision to shoot it again...
>>64549008Godspeed, based Kraut.
>>64549008>muzzlebrake>literally fracturing the mortar on the bricks around itso how much EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEdo you get after firing this thingalso have you tried flipping it upside down and seeing if it now breaks your wrist in the other direction?
>>64549107>15€ a popchrist. is reloading cartridges not an option for you? having a quick look it appears projectiles are available in germany, some shop had a pack of 20 for 70. could even give it a bit of a lighter load for reduced recoil (and using less powder, further saving money)
>>64549008Damn son. Kraut space magic hard at work.
>>64549107Hell yeah, you should use that on a deer or something, fuck shooting paper
>>64549008that's some really neat shit man.
>>64549008this is le epic
>>64549008It just gets more and more beautiful. Best of luck with this and future projects, anon.
>>64549008Make a suppressor
>>64549107>also one shot is like 15€ eachFugg. Yeah that's fucking brutal pricing, over here despite a relatively massive increase in prices in the last few years we can still get 50bmg starting at around $3.60/rnd. I'd 100% look into reloading if that's at all possible for you over there, it'd pay for itself in a real fucking hurry.
>>64549381He's German? Fucking grim, I'm surprised he can even still have a handgun.
>>64549008>Didn't make the sprain trainGay and lame!
>>64549381>>64549972I am allowed to reload but I need a special license to buy the gunpowder...I planned to make that license for the last 15 years already (saving all the spent brass and such) but last week I finally signed in to take the course and get the license...So yeah, next year I will start reloading (I mean, I got guns chambered in .50bmg, .45-70, .308, .50ae, .44mag, 45acp, .357... these ALL are not cheap calibers here in germany)
>>64549008Jesus fucking Christ dude
>>64550078I would not qualify that fucker as a handgun.
>>64550078The EU law is weird since it's actually much more concerned about and with semi-auto rifles than handgunsIt's not like the AWB where pistols were capped to 10, no, the handgun mag cap is 20 and the rifle cap is 10. Hence where handguns aren't banned it's no extra hassle to get basically any normal handgun.
>>64551023depends on the country, really
>>64551034Sure but to my knowledge there are no country-specific mag limits for handguns
>>64551023Still handguns are considered more "dangerous" here in germany because sportshooters and hunters are only allowed to have 2 of themI mean, a Hunter basically can buy as many super short Ar15 or Ar10 rifles as he wants on the same day, but he has to ask the police for permission to buy a .22 pistol first... and after he bought 2 of them its nearly impossible to get a third pistol or revolver
>>64549107That is a massive poopenfarternpantsenshatener on the end of that.
>>64549008I saw the video come up and came here to see. As a fellow funsmith, your "ahhhhh" at the misfire resonated with my soul. I'd like to see this thing on a chrono to know just how much velocity is lost. Also what is the barrel length?
...Is the slide supposed to reciprocate slightly during firing? or is that the entire frame flexing?
>>64551494>Also what is the barrel length?about 3 inches of rifling >>64551694The whole upper goes back against a very heavy recoil spring (watch the other video where im showing the gun in detail)
>>64549008I feel like if Scott of Kentucky Ballistics was aware of this he'd be both afraid and excited. If it weren't for all the import/export complications I'll bet you could sell him one for big money.
>>64549107>McRib Duschgellmao
>>64549008ultra based
>>64552073He made a short after the first video came out, without the muzzle break. He genuinely doesn't want to shoot it.
>>64552202>>64552073Yeah, he thinks its gonna explode and called the bolt flimsy...As if he knew anything about guns except how to shoot themThe bolt and barrel have the same size they would have in a 50bmg rifle
>>64549008Are you the same Krautanon that was building his Krieghoff double barrel (or drilling, can’t remember) in his master gunsmith class sometime around ‘21?Still got this screenshot from around that time. Or are there a couple of master gunsmith /k/rautanons around here?Anyway, what steel did you use for the bolt, receiver and barrel in this project?
>>64553749>Are you the same Krautanon that was building his Krieghoff double barrel (or drilling, can’t remember) in his master gunsmith class sometime around ‘21?Yes that was me. It's a Drilling everybody in that class has to build... so it could have been someone else also, but I recognize that pic>Still got this screenshot from around that time.WTF WHY?
>>64549008Damn, did you make it direct the burn not just backward but upward as well? That's crazy, with enough tuning you could probably make that thing recoilless. Very cool.Is a .50 BMG suppressor legal in your country? Just asking because…reasons…
>>64554422>is a .50 BMG suppressor legal in your country?very legalnot only for manufacturers like me but also every hunter could buy oneYou know, I like the idea of building a suppressor for it, but it would be so damn heavy and big... not sure how this could work...But I guess sooner or later I have to build one now that everybody is following this project
>>64554195>Still got this screenshot from around that time.>WTF WHY?NTA but when you see a nice gat and an OP that is the very opposite of a faggot, why wouldn't save a screenshot?
>>64554195>WTF WHY?your post contained valuable information from an educated professinal. (I know, people lie on the internet, but your posts seemed genuine) And I didn't know a lot about metallurgy at that time.Better than a post by Rufus McFuckface that only knows how to drill holes in 80% lowers on his janky drill press in his back yard workshop.I will definitely follow your projects.
>>64554195I remember you! Nice to see the progression. Are you in the west of Germany by any chance? I'm a gunsmith in the Netherlands and have some people in my club that shoot big bore silhouette, so handguns in .308, 6mm BR and such. Fun stuff. They saw your videos online and instantly messaged me if I could build or buy this thing for them (because I, too, am your type of idiot). Would you even be willing to make more? Maybe in some slightly less insane calibers, like the old Tanfoglio 1911 conversions?
>>64554478>you know, I like the idea of building a suppressor for itCool. Careful with that 1911 grip attachment of yours, I trust that bolt to hold but I'm not sure I can say the same about that upper flying off the grip and into your skull. Stay safe anon
>>64555130That muzzle brake probably helps keeping the frame safe too
>>64555130I'm not KrautAnon, but recall him replying to someone else expressing similar concerns. The upper cannot move backwards off the frame. The rails, faux dust cover, and general shape of the upper and frame prevents that. The slide stop Lever/pin that goes through the barrel link on a normal 1911 upper, just keeps the 50BMG upper from moving forwards in this particular design. The upper blowing off the frame and smacking the shooter in the face is basically impossible in KrautAnon's design, even if that pin were to shear off completely.
Ich hab echt den falschen Beruf gelernt....
>>64549008>most of the recoil on the WristWrecker5000...Only fags end sentences with ellipses.
>>64549008We need to know the velocity first and foremost.
>>64549107>15€Oh, you're European...well it's still cool anon
>>64555665habe auch was anderes gelernt und arbeite immernoch Vollzeit in einem anderen Beruf, das Büchsenmacher-Gewerbe ist nur schlecht bezahlter Nebenjob
>>64549008You are awesome.
>>64555778KrautAnon has a .50BMG 1911, and that official McRib™ Shower Gel that 'murrican anons can only dream about. You should still made fun of him for the fact that he can't buy loose gunpowder and hand-load ammo without rare and expensive special permit (übergay even by euro-standards), and that running while holding a firearm at a shooting range is explicitly illegal in Germany, for some bizarre and arbitrary reason that even the famously fun-hating German bureaucrats can't justify.
>>64549008You are a legend, I love seeing this made real. however, you may want to size down the muzzle brake a bit, maybe one chamber less.
>>64555803Ist es denn überhaupt ein Nebenjob? Oder wolltest du dein Hobby nur legalisieren?
