Look up how to do fish scale texture on clay to get an idea of how you want to do it and test on either clay (cold tool) or junk plastic first. Checked.

Mix it up, then add water until it thins enough it looks like a thick batter. Preheat your oven to 350 and put your glass 8x8 dish in there with 1/3 stick of butter, and swish the melted butter around the sides of the pan about 2/3 up. Pour the batter in there and then melt another 1/4 stick of butter or so on top. Cook it about 20-25 minutes or until set in the middle. Thank me later, the butter swim method is gonna make it super crispy on the outside edge and the buttermilk will keep the rest moist.
