Oof the smoke.

Just as disappointing when I saw an Su-27 at an air show. Such a fat slow pos
>>

I honestly do not see anything wrong with the display. If anything, this is the first air display in a while that has not bored me.

I wish the USAF went back to the old routine for the F-22, nobody care about "pitch" maneuvers, we want actual aerobatics.
>>
>Suspended
Until the next air show of course ;)))))))))))))))
Russia so fucking desperate to sell this thing they have to write their own byline about the pilot being "suspended", so aerobatic videos get more views
Fact is there are no more major military air shows in 2025, and wont be until the 2026 season starts
>>
>>64559456
Sauce doesn't say, but it was probably Dubai that grounded him. Because, you know, somebody JUST made a high-speed wheels-up landing while doing maneuvers like two days ago.
>>
>>64559416
Makes sense, they have like 10. So of course their buttholes clenched harder than the sight of a 1000 conscripts with every turn. If that thing went down it is lost technology right now.
>>
>>64559456
Dubai literally had a fatal crash on Saturday/Sunday because the plane was flying too low.
>>64559464
Didn't Russia announce that they sold 2 airframes of the SU-57 during Dubai? Of course they didn't say who was the buyer and no one is announcing they bought the damn thing. All things considered though, I think foreign sales of russian aircraft is nearly impossible now that China is pushing them out of the market
>>
>>64559474
I guess that is fair too.
>>64559464
I was going to say that there was Kish, but that is not until 2026 and that show is a meme anyway. I like watching footage for the memeworthy F-5 mods.

DO NOT REDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEM

>I think foreign sales of russian aircraft is nearly impossible now that China is pushing them out of the market
Was 2025 the year that Chinese engines surpassed Russian engines? When were the last imports of Russian military engines to China?
On a side note, why the fuck are new JF-17's still using Russian engines, and not Chinese engines?

>pajeets are now ruining the reputation of jet pilots
they need to be exterminated already

It's officially 22 units and 10 prototype frames.

AAHHHHAHAHAHA
not even fucking close

They're still unproven. Reputation for building good engines lags several years behind actually building them
If an engine turns out to not live up to the advertised reliability, the airframe is a complete bust.

Bongs operated Hawks for decades, and have sold them all over the world where they've operated reliably. They took a risk and ordered theirs with an unproven, extensive redesign of the engine to support Rolls Royce, and it's bitten them in the ass massively because the engine is unreliable. Now they're looking to buy totally foreign planes as their primary combat trainer for the first time in the RAF's history

It's truly the real life personification of that dude in Indiana Jones flipping his sword around showing off until Indy just blows him away

It was me. Sorry guys.

>as a disciplinary measure for exaggerating maneuvers and flying too close to the public.
Breached flight area limits.
I remember long ago been on MAKS airshow, aircrafts flew with afterburner right above crowd at 500 feet. But after
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sknyliv_air_show_disaster
Flight areas for airshows were massively tightened across the world. Both in area (no flying over crowds) and maneuver types when it's endanger public (if your velocity vector points at public you are limited in maneuver you can execute generally you can only make loops If plane of maneuver doesn't intersect public area).

for a fixed wing aircraft it's some pretty impressive slow speed maneuverability, the insane thrust to weight ratio and control at high angles of attack. but it's militarily useless.
>>
>>64560487
>>64561296
speed, altitude and the ability to shoot first have been the meta in air combat since literal day one

even in the worst years of the 60s the gunless F-4 was still the most capable air-to-air fighter in the world, despite the USAF insisting on not training pilots in how to use it for killing enemy fighters.

>>64561863
>>64560487
>>64561296
also notice how the ziggers have spent the last 30 years throwing around Su-27++++'s at airshows near stall speed, but when they actually have to fight a war it's the MiG-31s with the huge engines and huge missiles that get put up in the air
