This thread is for sharing music that discusses, concerns or invokes the image of any type of weapon, war or battle.Thread theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehukpdse8_wI'm looking for two types of songs specifically, although you are free to post anything that meets the above definition.1. Songs about wars or battles that are 'not' from the era they were recorded in. A popular example would be Iron Maiden's 'The Trooper', which is about the Crimean War, fought 130 years prior to recording (although the year difference does not need to be that great.)I originally started looking for songs about WWI and WWII from the 1950-80s, and noticed that it seemed to be quite difficult to find anything that met that criteria, but I'm interested in anything else you may know of.2. Songs about wars or battles 'in English' in which no English-speaking majority faction was involved.I don't have any examples to share for this one. I think it would be an interesting cultural experience to hear a 'foreign' tale of war set to music that was designed explicitly for an English-speaking audience. I think there are probably some pro-Palestinian songs in this vein, although I'm open to anything and everything.
