Sir, another hohol drone has hit the oil tankers! Source: >https://agerpres-ro.translate.goog/social-extern/2025/11/28/update-doua-petroliere-din-flota-fantoma-a-rusiei-au-suferit-explozii-si-incendii-in-marea-neagra-in--1507319?_x_tr_sl=auto&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=en-US&_x_tr_pto=wapp
Two oil tankers from Russia's so-called 'ghost fleet' suffered explosions in the Black Sea near the Bosphorus Strait on Friday, followed by fires on board the ships, Turkish authorities and sources said, adding that rescue operations had been launched for those on board, Reuters reports. The 274-meter-long oil tanker Kairos suffered an explosion and caught fire in the Black Sea while traveling from Egypt to Russia, the Turkish Ministry of Transport said. Two fast rescue boats, a tugboat, and an emergency response vessel were immediately dispatched to the scene, and the 25 crew members were rescued and are safe, the Turkish ministry said.Kairos was heading for the port of Novorossiysk (Russia) when it reported 'an external impact' that caused a fire 28 nautical miles off the coast of Turkey, Turkey's Maritime Affairs Directorate said.According to this source, another tanker, Virat, was hit about 35 nautical miles off the coast, further east in the Black Sea, and rescue teams and a commercial vessel were sent to the scene.Thick smoke was detected in the engine room, but the 20 crew members were unharmed. Both Karos and Virat are on a list of ships subject to sanctions following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, according to LSEG data.In recent years, there have been incidents of ships being hit by mines in the Black Sea, and some mines have been found floating.
In recent years, there have been incidents of ships being hit by mines in the Black Sea, and some mines have been found drifting at sea.The Kairos tanker was sailing under the Gambian flag and was unloaded, according to the Tribeca maritime agency.According to reports received, it is possible that the ship struck a mine and is in danger of sinking, Tribeca said.Maritime traffic through the strait continued, the agency added
Was it definitely Ukraine? The idea of it being Turkey in revenge for the Turkish tanker in Odessa getting hit a few weeks ago is very funny to me.
>>64572518At this point it could just be the fatal mix of Russians + Water that causes things to explode
A drone hit the second tanker Mr President
Must be a lost sea mine (x2). Nothing burger!
>>64572503>rescue operations had been launched for those on boardthis kinda nonsense better stop
>>64572497Must have been those pesky torpedo boats
>>64572561Italian frogmen you mean?
>>64572598>The goyim are unaware of the czechoslovakian suicide attack dolphins
>>64572518>The idea of it being Turkeyis more than likely and yet another slap in the face of the joke the EU and NATO insists on being.
Careful OP, mods banned the OP that made the last thread on thishttps://desuarchive.org/k/thread/64571423/#64571423
>>64572497The attacks will continue because Putin never responds.
>>64572518One was suspected to have hit a sea mine while the second one was said to have been attacked by Ukrainian naval drones
>>64573033I find it difficult to think that a drone attack just so happened to occur within 30 minutes of a mine strike
>>64572497catastrophic explosions are just a normal aspect of Russian naval doctrine, no reason to suspect foul play or enemy attack
>>64572749that was a fun thread, very sad when it 404'd all of a sudden
>>64572497That appears to be a sustained fusion cloud. No oil burns that bright, chatgpt told me so. The Ukrainians are now deploying nuclear weapons against Moscow on a consistent basis with no response. How is this happening?
>>64572497Hey, not so ''ghostly'' anymore, I guess
>>64573411A MIDNIGHT SUN?!
>>64573411>sustained fusion cloudThose madmen finally went and did it. They deployed the Q-Bomb.
>>64572497I thought Ukraine has been avoiding blowing up oil tankers because intentionally causing environmental disasters is bad PR. They've just been disabling them so far iirc.
>>64572497both recently sold to China, sanctioned by NATO, struck off the shipping registers by Gambia for false representations>https://maritime-executive.com/article/turkey-s-maritime-director-reports-explosions-on-two-sanctioned-tankers>>64573617at least one of the ships was empty, probably bothone had just finished unloading, the other was idling
>>64573617russians recently attacked a Ukrainian oil ship, russians are fair game. as always ziggers caused it all themselves
>>64572497Have they checked for Japanese torpedoboats?
>>64573630DID YOU SAY JAPANESE TORPEDO BOATS???????? BLYAT OPEN FIRE!
>>64573617>No, we didn't strike these ships.
>>64573682Just say that in Bill Clinton's voice
>>64573702>I did not>have>hostile interactions with those vessels
>>64573617When they're going back to Russia they're empty, they already offloaded. Still some concern but not nearly as bad as if they were full.
>>64573712Seeing as this is russia we're talking about, empty ships would probably be full of vapors and shit when not loaded, making it even more prone to fire
>>64573764Perhaps but there's not the same risk of causing an oil spill
>>64572497Russia is feeling it in the pocket book. (And no you can't buy it, they are selling to Russian elite). >The NWF held 405.7 tons of gold before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The Finance Ministry has since sold 57%, or 232.6 tons, to cover budget shortfalls, leaving 173.1 tons as of Nov. 1.https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2025/11/20/russias-central-bank-starts-selling-physical-gold-from-reserves-a91192
>>64573764this actually depends on the ports in which they're offloaded, as the ports are responsible for inspecting the ships e.g. back before the war, even Russian tankers offloading in American ports would have to be inspected by American port authoritiesso the question of how clean those ships were before blowing up, well... bear in mind they're offloading at a turdie port which is knowingly accepting ghost tanker deliveries
Russia seems to be on the brink of an economic collapse. This is probably why they're so desperate for Ukraine's capitulation and are acting so strong and tough. They are putting up a front hoping USA-Europe-Ukraine cower in fear and are thankful for an end to the conflict, so they can avoid the worst economic implosion of a major power since WW2.
>>64572497Fuck yamudda
>>64573795they got the US simping hard at their doorstep trying to force EU and Ukraine to capitulate. That alone is giving them arrogance to fuel on the war despite the cost it might be the final nail in the coffin that seals the deal but only if>EU does not blink>US does not outright start bailing them out again, this time in the form of ""business deals,"" like they have been doing for the last century
>>64573787Horey sheet, that is probably the most alarming signal so far. When that is gone, they'll start selling, I mean 'leasing' land to China. And then? I bet Nabiullina is getting ready for a skydiving lesson.
>>64572497unrelated but do you think russia is capable of keeping up the rate of advance after or should i say if pokrosvk is taken? i think if they eventually take it their advance rate would crawl to a halt but im interested int he current consensus
>>64573826They will likely continue slowly advancing until the war ends for reasons beyond the conditions at the front. Whether that's a Russian economic collapse or a peace deal. Ukraine doesn't have the manpower to spare for any future counteroffensives at the moment, but they do have enough for the current strategy of a very slow and grinding fighting retreat, with favorable casualty ratios. It'll likely be status quo for the rest of the conflict, no matter how it ultimately ends.
>>64572497neat
>>64573617What do you mean Ukraine? There is no proofs, it was clearly just an accident and this is ukophobic hysteria, also they are lynching mobiks in donbass
>>64573826What rate of advance? Russia, in that area of Ukraine, has moved less than a day's foot march from the land they already had in 2014.
>>64573813I don't normally believe in 4d chess theories and there's probably an easier explanation here but from a pure realpolitik point of view it's in the US interest that the war continues as long as possible. Russia can't assist China or provide material to Iran/Venezuela in meaningful quantities so long as the war continues.
>>64573843observing what has been going for the past four years dispel any illusion of some grand strategy realpolitik. Its like how in ye olden days westerners tried to explain all random chains of events as some mysterious acts of god, part of a wider plan in US case they went from escalation management to trying to mimic temu putinism in the span of four years. Bipolar disorder on a national scale. Which would be fine with any regular country but not the pillar of pax americana
>>64573843I agree with you but you should tell that to Trump who's been desperatelt trying to bail Russia out of this conflict for the past 11 months.
>>64573843Ironically enough the ones doing sort-of realpolitik are the Europeans, because they clearly understand that Russia must not win (apart from a bunch of 5th columnists who were bought by Moscow and keep screeching nonsensical bullshit, most notably Orban and the Slovaks)This alone means that Ukraine will have European support. Which in turn means any ideas Russia might have about tricking the US into forcing peace on the Ukrainians are doomed to fail, even if the kompromat compels Trump and his clowns to follow Putin's orders.
>>64573884He sounds like he thinks Russia wants peace.Trump is probably just senile and doesn't understand that Russia wants to conquer Ukraine.
the last 5 posts are so batshit insane or just plain ignorant that it's either kids posting or Russian botsprobably both
>>64573843Imo the initial plan of the US was to halt the advance of the Russians with the javelin and intelligence they had provided Ukraine, and once Russia got stuck they drip fed weapons to Ukraine to bleed Russia dry. That was under Biden, Trump being the tard that he is felt that US aid was vital to Ukrainian survival and closed the tap, trying to pressure Ukraine to give up.Except in the meantime Russia has been bled dry and they simply don't have the ability to pressure the Ukies hard enough anymore.
