They still get dirty as fuck because not only do you have a giant 40 cal hole where the gas tube should be blowing crud into the upper but you still get blowback down the bore, but it doesn't affect much because there aren't any gas rings, but tthats an easy fix on a DI with a few drops of lube.tl;dr some ppl like the impulse of pistons better, if you get a piston AR just get the HK, theyll replace the basically infinite life barrel if you shoot it out (you will shoot 500 rounds and then jump ship to something else), it's basically the only no bullshit piston gun, fuck FN to the scar is stupid/.
