>>64588158Kill the Messenger (Gary Webb dies by suicide at the end of the film, shoots himself twice in the back of the head)
>>64589294Fuck I remember watching this on TV with my dad when I was a kid. I thought the madlad's suicidal war against that U-boat was the coolest thing ever.
>>64589565Still waiting for the board, Lance.
>>64588158Surprisingly /k/omfy movie.
>>64588158Gay niggers from outerspaceObviously
>>64589279I hate you because of your gay shit ass pictures with gloves. But those are good movie picks.
>>64589800it's a must see on big screenthe Orinoco river in Panavisionone of the most under-recognized World War II movies
This is just a list of my personal favorites: >Cross of Iron (1977) - Directed by Sam Peckinpah, starring James Coburn. Burned out Wehrmact forward scouts fighting Russians on the Eastern Front. Makes no mention of the holocaust, nor does it feature the SS, but it has a lot to say about Prussian militarism and the degraded mental state of even the best front line fighters.>A Bridge Too Far (1977) - Directed by Richard Attenborough, starring James Caan, Michael Caine, Sean Connery, Elliot Gould, Gene Hackman, Anthony Hopkins, Laurence Olivier, and Robert Redford to name a few. Features the largest parachute drop ever captured on film. It's about Operation Market Garden and why it was such a massive fuck up. One of the most historically accurate war films ever made, but even then it's still a movie, so temper your autism if you can help it. A lot of the crazier scenes actually happened IRL. >Duck, You Sucker! aka Fist Full of Dynamite (1971) - Directed by Sergio Leone, starring Rod Steiger and James Coburn. A Mexican bandit and his small army of sons, (all fathered with different women), befriends a weed smoking, mescal drinking, motorcycle driving former IRA explosives expert during the Mexican revolution. Opens with a quote from Mao Zedong. The pacing is very slow and the plot is pure fiction, but it's still one of my all time favorites. >Come and See (1985) - Directed by Elem Klimov, starring some fucking Russians none of you know know fuck about. What happens when the Dirlewanger brigade shows up in your town. Depicts the horror and mayhem of Nazi war crimes on the Eastern Front. A friend once described it as "The Mist, but with Nazis". >Dark of the Sun (1968) - Directed by Jack Cardiff, starring Rod Taylor and Jim Brown. Ragtag mercenaries riding a train full of stolen diamonds in the Congo. Depicts possibly the first chainsaw fight in a feature length film. Kind of campy but still lots of fun.
>>64588158I think Young Guns is an underrated /k/owboy movie, personally. 80’s vibe with cowboys.
>>64589783Sounds like stupid propaganda
>>64588158Do you like gladiator movies?
>>64588158https://youtube.com/watch?v=c-15rOjFoco
>>64588158I understand why they cut the original credits sequence, but I wish they kept it, it's so good
>>64595421Educate me, what changed, how is it different?
>No mention of The Hunt for Red October
>>64595448Didn't know gigadick was in red october. Great movie either way

Stalingrad (1993)
>>64595522Red October frequently gets put into the "Free with ads" movie rotation on YouTube. I always find my throwing it on as background noise only to end up watching it anyways lol
The Bridges at Toko-ri is pure Korean War era naval aviation kino. It has some of the best peorid color footage of some of my favorite aircraft, plus it's pretty gritty and real for a 1950s major motion picture. >>64593500>Cross of Iron (1977)Wore this shit out from my local VHS rental place in the 1990s. If you enjoy it (and you will), check out the Breakthrough(1979) it isn't as good, but only by comparison. It's a Godfather II type thing.>A Bridge Too Far (1977)Unmitigated kino>Duck, You Sucker! aka Fist Full of Dynamite (1971)Also featuring James Coburn like Cross of Iron >Come and See (1985)Probably the most 4chan /k/ movie ever. It's a waking nightmare on film. It is basically the book Ordinary Men set to film. It's what the Twitter blue hair liberals think Charlie Kirk wanted for everyone who wasn't a white Christian. Watch it for the first time with someone you don't know very well.>>64595564>Stalingrad (1993)This is pretty damn good, too. Very dark. Very bleak. So, I guess on theme. What was that one about the Winter War from the 1990s? That was really damn good, too.
>>64595624>What was that one about the Winter War from the 1990s? That was really damn good, too.Talvisota
>>64595624>Probably the most 4chan /k/ movie ever. It's a waking nightmare on film.I walked away from that movie not knowing how to feel about it the rest of the day
>>64588158>>64595624Same anon, but this one is so good, I wanted to post the movie poster with it.>The Wild Geee (1977)It's a classic heist film, but with mercenaries. >We're getting the boys back together to overthrow a tin pot republic. >You son of a bitch, I'm in.If you don't already want an FAL, you will.https://youtu.be/Tg_kgX2CEOU
>>64595631>TalvisotaThanks. That shit was dope. It's a great buddy film about killing communist with the boys. Talk about life goals.>>64595634>I walked away from that movie not knowing how to feel about it the rest of the dayBad. You are meant to feel bad. No one wins, everybody loses. It is the war equivalent of A Serbian Film.
Oh, also. Here is a screen cap from a thread on this board last year about hard boiled detective guns/movies. I have to say there were only 2 I did like that much, but they were still pretty good. They range from good to outstanding.
>>64593500> starring some fucking Russians none of you know know fuck about. The actor who plays the kid was actually in alot of great russian war movies, 9th Company and The Star are two off the top of my head. Come and See and The Star are both on the mosfilm youtube channel with subtitles, good quality, and no ads last time i watched.
>>64595624>>64595631>talvisotaAlso check out The Unknown Soldier, its about the continuation war that was fought during ww2, theres three versions of it but ive only been able to find the new 2017 version which is excellent
