My 1903 is my favorite gun, but I don't keep the ivory grips on it anymore cause I'm afraid of staining them
My 1897 is probably my second favorite gun, slam firing it never gets old. The story of how I got it is pretty interesting too, some like 21 or 22 year old had a Garand, 1911, and this shotgun plus a bunch of WWII repro gear, and his mom made him sell it all (get your own place as soon as you can kids). So it came with a bunch of random shit like some canteens, repro webbing, a wool cap, a bunch of random 1903, enfield, and en bloc clips, some leather gloves that are unfortunately too small, and a shitty Chinese ka-bar knock off. The bayonet is legit though, made in the UK in 1917.
