AK General /akg/Kot edition>Thread #2084Old thread here >>64573822
To the anon who said we weren't getting more Beryl's because AoA owed FB a shit ton of money please explain pic related:
AK's peaked at the 100 series.
>>64623827I saw that post last thread, I agree as well. Anything made after the 100 series has been either a lateral move at best, or just a plain downgrade.
>>64623825You ever take out a new credit card to pay off your old one?
/akg/ please give me weird ideas for my WUM-1 kit
I found the site I was talking about. I was off with the name.https://savannaharsenalproject.com/2017/10/15/what-distance-to-zero-a-red-dot-on-an-ak-47/
Does anyone know if any product that is similar to the Zenit B16 rail? Maybe even something that has Mlok on one end and Picatinny slots on the other. I am trying to come up with an under barrel light mounting solution that will be a bit forward from the handguard. A six inch piece would be ideal really. I saw something like this, which would be ideal but this one was too long at 8 inches.
>>64624664 I only know of short ones. What light are you using? I Is there a way you can swap out the light body mount so it can mount to mlok? Some of them are tapped to accept mlok screws so you can bolt them into the slots.
>>64624664Trex arms light bar, it has a bad reputation for snapping tho just FYI
Where tf is Atlantic getting all these tons of Russian mags from?God damn, they're out of their fucking minds asking $600 for a drum.>I'm sure Rebbit will buy their whole inventory
>>64625350must suck being poor huh?
>>64624696Interesting. Is that the magpul one? If so, I'm not sure if you know but is that 3.15 inches? I think I grossly overshot with my last estimate. I think a three inch one would do, really just enough for me to have a mounting point from the last mlok slot to the edge of my handguard. >>64624997I'll look into that as well, thank you both.
>>64625407Yep its the magpul one.
>>64625358Wouldn't know, hymie.
took a paid time off day going shooting tomorrow
Please help. I have a new Saiga 103, only opened it once before about two years back, I remember it taking me a while. Now when I try it the cover won't budge at all. The button seems fine, just absolutely no movement. I cycled the action, it doesn't seem to be stuck under the rear sight. Any tips on how to get it open?
>>64626258you shouldn't own firearms
>>64626258If you have the 3rd type you need to press the button on top down. You may also have to wiggle the dust cover up with your fingers while you push. Sometimes the hole isn't cut straight also this>>64626362
>>64625466Sounds like HKParts.
>>64626362nice, I'll donate it as soon as I can clean it, promise>>64626386thank you, it's the second typeNo amount of force will make it budge and I don't want to scratch it up with a hammer and screwdriver, it's in mint condition
>>64625358No sane person can justify a $600 drum. But let's see your order.
>>64625350What the hell is Atlantic smoking with that price? I would never fault Atlantic for wanting to sell something for market price, but they want like $200 more than what you can find these for on the files. Their Russian 6x2 bayonets were well prices, same with their bakelite mags and plum furniture, so I was expecting to see these listed for like $200-$300 when I saw the youtube video.
>>64626437>I don't want to scratch it up with a hammer and screwdriverJust wrap your screw driver in a bunch of tape. If it really bothers you then you can also put some masking tape around the dust cover to protect it from glancing blows. Alternatively Use a pencil or wood dowel. You also have to lift up on the dust cover like I said because that little hump in the back is getting in the way. Hitting it won't do any good unless you left the cover up as you press the spring
