American Chad here. I don't know much about guns, and unfortunately I love in the Northeast so not sure how the gun laws are up here, but I'd like to buy a handgun, maybe the Chad M1911? Thoughts? What state has the most lax gun laws?

Generally speaking if you want to buy a handgun you need to do so within the state that you reside. Long guns (rifles and shotguns) can sometimes be purchased while in another state, but if yours is particularly obnoxious that might not be the case. Moving just to buy a gun you want is generally speaking not practical.

Either way, a 1911 of some sort can be bought in almost any state. Which one do you live in specifically?
>>
any particularly reason why you didn't just say what state you live in?
>>
Age is a factor, federal is minimum 21, no matter the state. There are still ways to accomplish if under. Do you want to conceal carry it? Most northeast states are not constitutional carry. States with the most lax gun laws are like montana, wyoming, arkansas. Just literally google these things.
I personally love the 1911. there are dozens of variants being sold all the time

>so not sure how the gun laws are up here

They aren't drop safe and/or they haven't bothered to go through the bullshit needed to get them approved for sale in MA.

I don't blame them, I just want to complain.

Buy once cry once, whatever you do. And get Wilson Combat springs/parts for backup.

>They aren't drop safe

Certain older Colt's have internals which make them so. OP can do his own research.

springfield armory 1911's are great, can't go wrong with them

just make sure you're getting what you want though
as with every 1911 maker, they have a billion variants that all have little weird quirks, so making sure you get a bog-standard one with high parts commonality is a good idea

So what exactly is the most standardized M1911 from Springfield armory?
