>>64632443Actually, revolvers suck assholes. It's funny that you post that one in particular, as I shot it today and it was a huge piece of shit, even with the S&W trigger job. The wood panels of the grip were rattly as fuck, the irons were shit, the trigger felt like ass. I shot another 686 that had to have its rear iron all the way to the fucking right to shoot straight and somehow the trigger was even worse. Then I shot a Colt Python. It was the best of the bunch (but that ain't saying much), but it had two light primer strikes. Combine this with the fact that they shot slow as fuck, hold only 6 rounds, emptying the shells is awkward and time consuming as fuck, they all cost like a grand or more, they're awkward to grip, it all leads me to conclude that revolvers suck ass and there's a reason we evolved passed them and never looked back. They are a boomer relic of a bygone era and thank fuck we have semiauto options today, otherwise I probably wouldn't shoot handguns ever.Fuck revolvers.

If I wanted to LARP as the Civil War or a Village Person or whatever the fuck, then I would, but I don't so I won't.>>64632665Yes that was his final solution to the rattle question... after shooting all the ammo.>>64632670There was one Ruger that was aight, two S&Ws, and the Colt. The S&Ws were clearly the biggest pieces of shit, but I could tell he was pretty proud of the one in the OP pic, as it had the trigger upgrade from S&W. He was miffed that I thought the Colt had a nicer trigger pull. Last time we shot, the cylinder wouldn't hardly even open one the fancier S&W. From what I gathered these are all modern revolvers.

I know they used to be good, I know they make some good rifles, but you can have a perfectly good arsenal without ever touching an S&W weapon. I'm personally never buying an S&W because of their little "agreement" with Hillary Clinton where they tried to not only disarm Americans, but also to run every other American weapons manufacturer out of business. I mean, it's kinda gay and retarded how they made the Hillary Hole, but even to an unhinged unmedicated schizo, that by itself is not enough to declare S&W the preferred weapon manufacturer of Satan himself. Here's what actually happened:>be Smith in 2015>entire mainstream media says that Hillary is about to win the presidential election>polls say Clinton has a 95% chance of victory, Trump has 5%>Clinton stated on multiple occasions she wants to ban firearms, enforce national registries, etc>glowies in Smith be like bigthink.jpg>Smith completely owned by glowies at this point btw>Smith glowies get in touch with Clinton's glowies>Clinton being viewed as a de-facto President at this point>Obama has not yet left office, but treats Hillary as if she were 100% the next President>Smith glowies say:>Hillary, we know you rightfully want to ban AR's nationwide and restrict firearm ownership, in your supreme wisdom and excellence>Thus, we wish to ask your exalted highness if we could have the small honor of being your primary firearm contractor, that way we can arm the glowies under your command while our competitors' sales plummet because they will no longer be legally allowed to sell their firearms to civilians>Hillary and her glowies say:>Very well, consider the contract secured, but you have to help us promote anti-gun legislation so the goyim can be disarmed. >Smith still remains unsatisfied>The contract would all but guarantee their competition will be destroyed, yet work remains to be done>So Smith gets to work on shadow lobbying for gun control and for Hillary to win 2016>If Hillary won in 2016, S&W would have been the only major American gunmaker still remaining today, and they wouldn't sell to civilians100% true greentext

They have a word for it I believe-- "anticompetitive behavior". It's like poisoning the town well so that people have to buy the water from your well, only you'll give water exclusively to those who you like. The main difference between Smith and Ruger is that Smith actually went out and did the shadow lobbying, sparing no expense. Ruger kinda just said "fuck the 2nd Amendment", but he didn't (to my knowledge) unleash the full force and fury of his entire company to accelerate the process of corrupting democracy using backroom deals.

>>64632874About 12 yards.
from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_B._Ruger"The best way to address the firepower concern is therefore not to try to outlaw or license many millions of older and perfectly legitimate firearms (which would be a licensing effort of staggering proportions) but to prohibit the possession of high capacity magazines. By a simple, complete and unequivocal ban on large capacity magazines, all the difficulty of defining 'assault rifle' and 'semi-automatic rifles' is eliminated. The large capacity magazine itself, separate or attached to the firearm, becomes the prohibited item. A single amendment to Federal firearms laws could effectively implement these objectives."William B. Ruger (Zogbot)

>>64632948Life isn't cruel just because your friend was murdered. First of all, dying in your prime is good because you never get to witness your slow decay. >>64632792I'm relatively new to guns, I only started seriously researching them since 2016. I try to figure out why 40sw exists. Come up with theory that it was a conspiracy between the FBI and possibly Ted Kennedy (s&w was based in his state) to try to get back the LEO market from Glock. Just because it was never going to work doesn't mean that wasn't the plan. Come to find out that the FBI fudged the pistol trial results and that Gaston stole a sw40 round from a trade show to beat smith to market with their own chambering. Everybody had to pretend for years that this overpriced caliber was good in a collective hallucination. Ted Kennedy dies. FBI goes back to 9mm. Everyone follows.Hmmmmm..... Maybe.

>know nothing about guns >look into them >spec ops guys all shill sig even though the reputation is horrible >competition shooter and hobbyists buy everything and then use a Glock >everyone else uses a Glock I’ve never heard someone mention a CZ and staccato seems to be some weird luxury choice that no one really respects How close am I
>>64634315>How close am I>weird luxury choiceThis part is correct >no one really respects This not so muchYou will find people who will rabidly defend basically any brand. The more expensive it is, the more they have to justify.
>>64634315Eh, CZ and staccatos have their place but just aren't as popular as Glock. Glock is really the default gun in alot of ways and it's turbo reliable, so that's why a lot of guys use it because it's more on their own skill to shoot good which is what they are training for anyways. CZ and staccato just don't have the same marker share as Glock, which is fine. SIGs are dogshit though. So far off the top of my head the P320:>is/was not drop safe(there are probably a lot of them still out there that never got the "upgrade")>explodes, not unheard of to get SIG slide bits launched at your face due to the catastrophic force of firing a 9mm round because SIG cannot into engineering>shoots on its own(this is the worst issue as you have no idea of knowing if your particular combo of jeet parts are safe or not) This isn't to mention the fact that the P365, which is being forwarded as the replacement for the P320, likes to eat its own striker pin which is less of a serious issue but still very annoying and gay
>>64634337>SIGs are dogshit though.*NuSIG
>>64634315Eh, close-ish.But the two brands aren't in the sa,e category. The Bundeswehr are adopting the CZ P10 as their new side arm and the Shadow 2 is the most used competition gun. Staccatos and 2011s in general are also popular in the competition scene.Spec ops mostly run Glocks because they just work and don't weigh as much as a steel frame handgun, like a Staccato, but they all know what they are. I know a green beret and he and everyone else in his group run Glocks, but he's always entertainined running a Staccato. They are definitely much easier to shoot accurately than a Glock (hence the popularity with comp shooters), but the added weight and maintenance just doesn't warrant carrying it, given how little combat use they will likey be used in. The practical solution is to git gud with a Glock and save your vanity gun for personal use. Staccato is actually pretty brilliant in targeting PDs to run their 2011s, since before that, 2011s were really just for enthusiasts and competition shooters. Until recently, they were quite finicky too.If you can afford the gun and can keep it cleaned and lubed well, then it makes sense for cops to carry a Staccato, since it means they can shoot it better more easily. Unlike military, it's their primary weapon, they cary way less gear, and their carry environments are a lot less harsh. Therefore, it's a lot more attractive for them.
Judging by the wrists, this one is actually a man so it's not a coincidence that he's handling recoil better than the women albeit not particularly well. Like the other cos players, he tries to keep his trigger finger level with the target because that's the intuitive or most comfortable way to grasp the frame but this results in too low of a grip as the "beaver tail" isn't thick enough to accommodate. Glocks are simply a poor choice with to instruct beginners>>64632596It looks like you have a couple of archived / deleted threads open there too>>64632611>>64633430Kek

>>64634315Close, but staccatos are more like sports cars. It does the same thing
>>64634315It might be confusing because there are so many similarly looking guns on the market that are good for different use cases, but CZ and Staccato are both very good guns for actually taking to range and shooting, especially Staccato. They are not really made around any sort of duty use or concealed carry, and rather optimize around competition shooting, so like >>64634948 cars, they are sport optimized gear. You can carry one, but it's like daily commuting on a liter sport bike, cumbersome overkill. I think some police dept somewhere is using Staccatos, which, while it's good for them for getting it funded, is still out of ordinary.
>>64635020>I think some police dept somewhere is using Staccatosthere's like 1400-1500 agencies that approve using staccatos, some are issued but in agencies that allow cops to purchase their own duty pistol they are more than infrequently seen. The SWAT guys local to me which I see sometimes at the shooting range with their duty gear some of them have Staccatos
>>64632443What's the best deal on a PDP Pro SD Compact 4.6" out there? preferably in greyhttps://www.hinterlandoutfitters.com/walther-2876574-206080.htmlThis one is $780 priced through email.I'm also not sure I need the threaded barrel, and I know I don't need the magwell because CO, so if it's cheaper to buy the base PDP 4" compact and add a DPT ($140 right now on Walther site) I might do that.
>>64635275I can't find a better price.A note: the Dynamic Performance Trigger version they put in the factory PDP Pro guns is just the trigger, with no upgraded sear. This has long been a fly in the ointment for the PDP because the major improvement comes from the sear not the trigger itself, meaning the Pro models have half the upgrade and less than half the improvement. I mention this becauseA: buying the DPT separate gives you a better trigger than the one that comes in the Pro, and since you don't need the threaded barrel that would make more sense financially as well as practically, and because2: I noticed the picture on the Walther site shows JUST the trigger, no picture or text stating that it comes with the sear housing which is worrying...I'm not sure though because if you plug the DPT MPN from the Walther site into gun.deals and look at other sites, they DO show the sear housing being included. The same MPN wouldn't be two different things, so idk what the dilly, but before you order the trigger I'd suggest calling Walther on Monday to make sure that MPN includes the improved sear housing (picture related).tl;dr Buying the gun and DPT separate would be $692 before shipping/fees saving you $90 if you don't want the magwell or threaded barrelhttps://gun.deals/search/apachesolr_search/2858436https://waltherarms.com/shop/dynamic-performance-trigger
