>>64633855Oldfag paratrooper here. 82nd. Our armor unit was next door at Bragg and we shared a motorpool ground. Sheridan was a gigantic pile of aluminum shit. Constantly broke down, shit smoothbore maingun and Shilelaghs were so fragile they literally fell apart during off road movements. And the aluminum hull wouldn't stop anything but small arms. Our tankers hated that piece of shit to a man, riggers hated dealing with them and the LAPES and Heavy drop air crews hated them too. They stayed home during Desert Storm because they were more trouble than they were worth. Shitty design that looked good on paper and sucked balls in practice.
