>BuySAFE is for financing to support EU rearmament. The question is what Japan will sell which is an interesting one as Japan isn't exactly a leader in arms exports.
>>64633899German
There's nobody more European than Koichi Yamamoto.
>>64634034i'm sure they have something that's on a need-to-know only basis
>>64633899its gonna be the aug
Is it happening because the US is pivoting towards CHYNA all of a sudden?
>>64633899A lot of Drones
>>64634621More like Trumps treatment on Ukraine is sounding alarm bells to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan if China does something.
They should just build nukes. Point them on every Chinese city and the 3G Dam.
>>64633899How bout they start selling us stuff instead.
Japan should make some more F2.
>>64634734Wouldn't really suprise me if they started to move pieces in place for a move just like that. I mean they are already looking at getting tomahawks, they have a domestic civilian nuclear industry so a nuclear powered sub might be the next step. "To keep the balance" in the region, now that Worst Korea is going to be getting nuclear subs as well.
>Japan rearms>Starts making Kamikaze dronesI really wanna see them make Anti Ship Kamikaza drones, similar to the Zero.
>>64634771you couldn't handle a japanese firearm you idiot, stick to your gay little sigs and springfields.
>>64634621The US century of retardation on the diplomatic front is bearing fruit
>>64634034>The question is what Japan will sell which is an interesting one as Japan isn't exactly a leader in arms exports. The biggest issue is they legally couldn't be and its only been a few years since they tried using loopholes that still have a lot of catches. They are dismantling all of their export restrictions next year though which coincides with this entry into this program. As for what they would be selling, probably AAMs/AShM/SAMs, radars, lasers, maybe their new OPV class. Missiles are the most promising though as they have their GPI, HGVP, XAAM-6, Type 12 improved, a new SHORAD, Type 03 is getting an ABM software package. Then there is GCAP as this framework would probably make it very easy to export to any European country in terms of legal framework and also financing for such an expensive airframe now that FCAS is kill.
>>64633899Funniest thing is they still have a higher chance getting in on it then the bongs do lmao.
>>64634734There was an article a while back in the WSJ if various Western countries decided to sprint for nukes. Would be a matter of a few months before the would have a deterrence of their own.

>>64633899You're fucking retarded, nations join to sell the EU weapons
>>64635412nta, but that's still in the "they theoretically could" stage anon, to have actual deterrent value you need an actual for real deterrent not concepts of a plan for one. That over the next decade you could build 100 ICBMs and all the associated infrastructure required to ensure you've got an actual credible strike capability even if you opponent tries to first strike you doesn't give you much until you actually do build it.
Wow the EU hates the UK
>>64635891>nta, but that's still in the "they theoretically could" stage anonIt's in the "they can" and have all the pieces conveniently lying around next to eachother stage.>That over the next decade you could build 100 ICBMs and all the associated infrastructure required to ensure you've got an actual credible strike capability even if you opponent tries to first strike you doesn't give you much until you actually do build it.You do not need even close to that amount for an effective deterrent. Norks have around a dozen non-MIRV ICBMs in their missile command and that is enough where 3 world powers on their door step don't fuck with them. Japan with like 1 of these with a MIRV warhead would already magnitudes more of a threat than North Korea. Most estimates put Japan as needing a few months to a year max to fully establish a nuclear deterrent which is plenty of time for their established defenses to hold up.
>>64633899>Which weapons will Japan buy?MSBS, Rosomak, Bober, Krab, Pt-91 - the list goes on.
>>64636173No they won't, because they joined to sell weapons. They were already able to buy.
>>64635891"they theoretically could" is literally all it took for the worlds biggest superpower to screech about every middle eastern country for 60 years straight
>>64636173I doubt japan will buy anything cobbled together from the reject bins of western defence manufacturers by a 3rd world tractor factory.

>>64636968and a Type 89
>>64636974Yeah, both. If Japan wants to remilitarize so badly, they can profit off selling their surplus weapons to a rabid weeb market who would pay way more than they're realistically worth.>inb4 state secretsThey're 40-50yr old guns.
>>64634771>milled receiver This is basically a Guccied Mini Uzi
>>64636984>>inb4 state secrets>They're 40-50yr old guns. What is this schizo babble. It has nothing to do with some kind of protectionism. It's because Howa built AR-180s became the posterchild of smoking British soldiers in the 80s, so they left the semi-auto market.
>>64634657But they won't do anything if the US doesn't got their back. Zion don doesn't seem like the guy to help out kineticly unless it's for God's chosen people.
