Oriental nobodies engaging in inconsequential border wars... waow...
I wonder how this will affect the bass population.

We'll let you know when we're rolling through your capital, scambo.

Wait... ain't these the Chinese version of Javalin?

But Trump said the war was over.
Why are they still fighting?
Actually is there even any fighting involved at all or is the entire war just Thais driving some place while the Khmer a running away?
>>
Didnt Trump brag how he got them to stop fighting like 15 hours ago?

A lot of it is that but some are sticking around and they're still popping off their Grads like they're trying to deplete their remaining stockpiles. Probably before they get airstruck.

Do you want weapon systems to just sit at the sideline collecting dust forever? I wan them to be used and we can get very valuable data from this. We are seeing Chinese land vehicles and anti-tank weapons being used in a real conflict for the first time ever. We get to see Gripen's being used.

It's great.

So what's the end goal here for Thailand?
It seems Cambodia is pretty much incapable of offering any resistance.
>>
>>64634297
Is there still no footage of t-84 in action? I have no idea how to keep track of this conflict.

It's great. I wish the Scambodians were better armed so we would get some real /k/ino rather than a curbstom.
But I'll take it.

>end goal
This is just the default for the third world, pointless wars with no real objective. This is the consequence of Trump letting Pax Americana wane.

Zero. Occupying Phnom Penh serves no purpose and would be impossible to justify. The Vietnamese tried it once, only for America to tell them to leave the heckin khmer rouge alone.

In this day and age, who cares? Drumpfe least of all.

Lmao no, he still wants his gay nobel peace prize. Either way, having to deal with insurgencies and sectarian shit isn't tenable.

Not like this worked out for America since the current Cambodian leadership is the same guys the Vietnamese put in charge.

Pretty sure even he realizes he's not getting one for ending some scuffle in Indochina.

>>64634516
While I agree this is a good opportunity to see Chinese weapons at work it doesn't seem the Cambodian are using them much.

>>64634559
Cambodia paid for those Chinese weapons, one way or another. The Thai are removing the threat and whatever was left of Cambodia's money and credibility. I guess they can keep bombing them until Cambodia is desperate for peace and gives them the land they want.
>>
Why is China supplying both sides of this war? Is it a internal conflict within the CCP, individuals looking for profit or just fueling conflicts to keep their neighbors divided?

2026 world cup is going to be in America, getting a bit of orange on their lips is going to make the process a lot smoother theoretically.
>>
>>64634297
Can someone give me a run down on why they are killing each other? Is it territory? Resources? Ethnicity? Sectarianism? Proxy conflict? Hard to see why Cambodia would choose to be an aggressor given it's learning experiences courtesy of the Khemer Rouge or why Thailand would choose a shameful war against an impoverished neighbour?
>>

It's going to be an even bigger flop than Qatar. FIFA is dead it just is not buried. The Qatar world cup absolutely fucked it in the eyes of football fans worldwide.

Iirc, Cambodia attacked Thailand unprovoked. Thailand retaliated with a rather disproportionately large force. Cambodia called for a ceasefire/peace (I forgot which) but Thailand went "NAH, FUCK U". Read somewhere that Cambodia has been pulling this shit of random attacks then trying to call for ceasefire/peace in the past but never verified it. Can't bother to check.

China

China accounts for 49.8% of all hours of viewing on digital and social platforms globally. Douyin, Miguvideo and cctv.com were the three most viewed platforms globally. In contrast, China delivered just 8.8% of global linear television viewership.
The Final received 121.50 million hours of viewing on digital streaming platforms in China, over 61.9% of the global digital total. Live digital consumption exceeded viewership on linear television (94.10 million hours) in China.

Hun Sen (Former President of Cambodia and Father of Hun Manet) wanting to regain respect and control over country, unlucky for him, he was late for nationalism game.
He decided to declare culture war on Thailand, saying Thailand copy their stuff and bla bla bla.
The Boiling Point is when Thai Border Patrol walk into Landmine that planned by RCA's Sapper, in which the landmine location was deep into Thailand's Territory.
>>
>>64634915
That's about right. And this was while their people were using Thai hospitals and squatting in Thai territory as refugees. The Thai government brought up the newly laid landmines for investigation by the Ottawa committee and cambos flat out refused to allow for an international investigation. Then they opened fire on a Thai patrol, they're constantly pulling this shit and trying to test what they can get away with. Habitual line-steppers.
>>
>>64634905
They changed the format on this world cup to allow a bunch of thirdie awful teams that wouldn't classify otherwise. Basically shitting on 96 years of World Cup history

Retinal eyescans and all sorts of tedious background checks for anyone even if they have a visa.

It's bound to be a fiasco.

>So your killing people because....you have weapons? That's the logic?

Am I thai or Cambodian? I'm just watching this on the sideline.

No one wants massacres that destroy countries for decades. But we get to see short military actions where untested military hardware is tested in real world conditions for the first time. Chinese shit is mostly languishing in countries that are never in any threat, or only shown off in carefully choreographed propaganda events.

We get to see how effective shit actually is, not just words and specs.

We got to see a Chinese tank's barrel explode in real world scenario. That tells us something. we get to see Gripen's being used effectively.
>>
>>64634891
Where do you think we are?
>>
>>64634949
It's just as likely, if not more, that that landmine was a leftover from the Vietnamese invasion.
>>
>>64635085
The issue with China getting feedback on their weapons is that it will lead up to their improvement. Low stakes skirmishes like these are more beneficial to them than, say, Saab.

Still, doesn't mean they can't make it work eventually or constitute a force to be reckoned with: despite the unfathomable inefficieny, the Russian Army still manages to grind on. Now assuming that the leadership eventually wants to get things straight, having field data allows to at least know what to address first. Russia clearly can't do it at scale, but China might.

>>64634886
Pol pot killed everyone smart in Cambodia, then he killed everyone that looked smart.

It already does work you moron, if it didn't we'd be seeing a general recall from the front lines.
>>
>>64635285
You don't understand Chinese culture if you believe for a moment they have a culture of continuous improvement loop. Is it possible? Sure, if the right hands get greased and the party is directly interested- but the moment it isn't in the party's spotlight, it gets gutted for every cent the project is worth.
>>
>>64634297
>made in china
its basically a cargo cult of western missiles

In industries where competition is fierce we've seen tons of continuous improvement. It's the most capitalist thing about their economy.

Sure but what are they gonna do about it? Stop following their team? I doubt it.
>>
