Whats everyones experience with buying guns, ammo, other sporting goods, hunting gear, reloading equipment. How do they compare to Cabelas, BassPro, and Sportsmans Warehouse. And Gander Mountain? I do love their price match, was able to get them to price match with gunmagwarehouse on gen 3 pmags.
>>64635649They’re great; basically a dicks with a massive ammo/gun/optic section
>>64635649I bought some magazines there once for cheap, they arrived. Showed up/10, I don't know what else to say.
>>64635655op here, Im a former califag, moved to the midwest. I was aware of Scheels before moving. I was expecting them to be like Cabelas and sportsmans warehouse. Was the Old Dicks anything like Scheels? Before Dicks went full retard anti gun.
>>64635681>Old Dicks
>>64635688LMAO. well how else was I suppose to word that?Anyways there are a lot of pretty young women that work at my local Scheels.
>>64635649Why did they raise prices on there HK SP-5s from $3000 to $3400?Im glad I bought one when they were still 3K.
>>64636787I never managed their account but was close with the guy who did and saw all their data. They're a MAP store as far as I know. If the price went up, it's almost certainly because HK raised MAP or cracked down on them for violating. Maybe both.
>>64636993This is what I dont get how come both the HK SP-5 and SP-5K are the same price?
>>64637044Because the MSRP is the same. The work I do now involves setting MSRP and MAP for products so if they're like any mfgr I've ever worked for, MAP is dictated as a percentage off MSRP within line. If MSRP is the same, MAP will be the same and thus they'll cost the same in stores. If you're asking why MSRP is the same, there are dozens of factors that play into that, not least of which is just "cause the people who decide feel like it."
>>64635649Generally better shopping experience, selection and pricing than most corporate chain stores. Their used guns aren't priced at crackhead prices either, with some occasional genuinely good deals to be had. On the whole I prefer an LGS, but if I had to buy something at a chain store I'd take Scheels over SW/CAB/BP by miles. I haven't been in a GM yet so no comment on that.
Better customer service though more modern selection as far as guns go. You'll fine treasure more at Cabela's and bass pro, but enjoy a mandatory several hour long wait for them to actually sell you the gun. Scheels is probably the best out of the bunch
>>64635715I love Scheels. Mine has a lot of hot baddies working there too, and one dyke if youre into that
>>64637525Im a dude, is she a lipstick dyke or bull dyke. If she's a bull dyke that looks like twink fag (age 20s-30s Wynona Ryder with short hair) and is bi curious yeah i do it.
>>64635681Sheels is closer to a Gallyans before their buyout by Dicks, but pretty sure no one outside of Indianapolis that isn't over 40 knows what the fuck that is.
>>64635649I bought a full Inox Beretta 92FS from one for $399, they have decent used gun prices but obviously selection is limited. Ammo prices are good and they're often doing rebates on stuff. They're solid and they have some higher end gear compared to your average sporting goods store, can find Arc'teryx, Patagonia, etc there. They have very good prices on Harris and Atlas bipods as well.
>>64638949>>64638960So this store is offically /k/ approved.
>>64639121It’s decent to good. They are good to very good for hunting stuff and sports.
